Why It's Important: Musk's tweet came just days after Meta Platforms Inc. (NASDAQ:META) released its latest Integrity and Transparency reports. Meta stated that hate speech content decreased considerably on Facebook and Instagram.
Earlier this month, Oreo cookie maker Mondelez International said after Musk's takeover of Twitter, hate speech has increased on the platform.
In October, it was reported that the use of the N-word on the microblogging site increased by approximately 500 percent compared to the previous average.
