For the third quarter Dell Inc. (Public, NASDAQ:DELL) reported net income of $337 million or $0.17 a share Vs $727 million or $0.37 a share, a year ago quarter.

Nordstrom (JWN) Q3 EPS Misses by 1c, Lifts Outlook

Nordstrom, Inc. (NYSE: JWN) just came out with its third quarter results of earnings of 38 cents, which is 1c below the street was expecting. Revenue for the third quarter reported at $1.87 billion, in-line with the street estimations. The company raises full-year EPS guidance to $1.83-1.88 from $1.50-1.65 and expects full-year same-store sales down 6-7%. Shares Nordstrom shares have fallen about 4.50% to $32.93 in the extended trading session.

Fluor Corporation (NEW) (NYSE: FLR) is projected to report third-quarter earnings of 90 cents a share. McDermott International (NYSE: MDR) is expected to report earnings of 40 cents a share in the third quarter. MBIA Inc. (NYSE: MBI) is forecast to report a third-quarter loss of 70 cents a share. Analysts estimate Sempra Energy (NYSE: SRE) to post third-quarter earnings of $1.19 a share. Tesoro Corporation (NYSE: TSO) is projected to break even in the third quarter. DISH Network Corp. (NASDAQ: DISH) is expected to post earnings of 45 cents a share in the third quarter.

CBS Corporation (NYSE: CBS) is forecast to report third-quarter earnings of 22 cents a share. Sirius XM Radio Inc. (NASDAQ: SIRI) is likely to report a loss of 2 cents a share in the third quarter. The DIRECTV Group, Inc. (NASDAQ: DTV) is expected to post earnings of 39 cents a share in the third quarter. Time Warner Cable Inc. (NYSE: TWC) is seen to report earnings of 75 cents a share in the third quarter. Verisign, Inc. (NASDAQ: VRSN) is predicted to post earnings of 33 cents a share in the third quarter.

COGENT INC (NASDAQ: COGT) reported Q3 EPS of $0.07, 3 cents below the analyst estimate of $0.10. Revenue for the quarter was $28.9 million, which compares to the estimate of $34.09 million. COGENT announced a $100 million share buyback. Anworth Mortgage (NYSE: ANH) reported Q3 EPS of $0.27, 4 cents below the analyst estimate of $0.31. Overstock.com Inc (NASDAQ: OSTK) reported Q3 EPS of $0.03 loss, in-line with the analyst estimate of ($0.03). Revenue for the quarter was $195.1 million, which compares to the estimate of $179.10 million.
