USD/JPY Falls to 15-Year Low (UUP)

The U.S. Dollar is in a world of hurt today, falling to a 15-year low against the Japanese Yen, at 80.04. Against a basket of currencies, the dollar is lower as well. Currently the Powershares DB US Dollar Index Fund UUP is off by 1.37%, trading at $22.38. The Powershares DB US Dollar Index Fund seeks to track the price and yield performance, before fees and expenses, of the Deutsche Bank Long US Dollar Futures index. The index is comprised solely of long futures contracts. The futures contract is designed to replicate the performance of being long the US Dollar against the Euro, Japanese Yen, British Pound, Canadian Dollar, Swedish Krona and Swiss Franc.
