Options Trader Bets Japanese Yen ETF Will Climb Higher By January 2025

Invesco CurrencyShares Japanese Yen Trust FXY, an ETF that tracks the Japanese yen, traded higher on Thursday.

On CNBC’s "Options Action,"  Mike Khouw of Optimize Advisors said Invesco CurrencyShares Japanese Yen Trust traded more than 8x its average daily call volume on Thursday.

There was a buyer of 1,180 of the January 2025 66-calls at an average price of $3.77 per contract, Khouw mentioned.

Trader sees Invesco CurrencyShares Japanese Yen Trust trading above the $70 mark in just over a year.

Price Action: Invesco CurrencyShares Japanese Yen Trust gained 0.3% to close at $63.10 on Thursday.
