Pan American Silver Corp is the continuing corporation of Pan American Energy Corporation, which was incorporated under the Company Act (British Columbia) on March 7, 1979. The Company is engaged in the operation and development of, and exploration for, silver producing properties and assets. Its principal product is silver, although it also produces and sells gold, zinc, lead, and copper. Its mining operations and developing mining projects are carried out in Mexico, Peru, Argentina and Bolivia. The buyers of silver and gold dore from its Dolores, Alamo Dorado, La Colorada, and Manantial Espejo mines, once refined, are international bullion banks and traders. Silver and gold dore is delivered to refineries in Mexico, Germany, and the United States. All phases of the Company's operations are subject to environmental regulation in the various jurisdictions in which it operates.
