Per <a href="https://www.nasdaq.com/market-activity/stocks/ba/analyst-research">Nasdaq&rsquo;s</a> data, the average BA price target is considerably advantageous for investors looking for flying stock exposure, at $226.28 versus current $168.44 per share.</p>



<h2>Joby Aviation (JOBY)</h2>

Schneider / Shutterstock.com</div></div><p>Like Alef Aeronautics, <strong>Joby Aviation</strong> (NYSE:<a href="https://investorplace.com/stock-quotes/joby-stock-quote/"><strong>JOBY</strong></a>) crossed several FAA <a href="https://www.jobyaviation.com/news/joby-completes-third-stage-faa-certification-process/">certification</a> milestones in 2022 and 2023 to get closer to commercial eVTOL rollout. Considering it is a passenger-carry eVTOL for air taxi purposes, with up to four passengers, the regulatory approval is all the more impressive.</p>



<p>Joby also holds the confidence of the US military industrial complex. Early in 2020, Joby&rsquo;s take on eVTOLs was granted <a href="https://www.jobyaviation.com/news/joby-widens-usaf-partnership-will-deliver-two-evtol-aircraft-macdill-afb/#:~:text=Joby's%20Agility%20Prime%20contract%20includes,its%20pre%2Dproduction%20prototype%20aircraft.">military airworthiness approval</a>. This March, the Californian company announced the delivery of two aircraft to MacDill Air Force Base in 2025.</p>



<p>This is under the Agility Prime contract accounting for the delivery of nine eVTOLs to USG. However, unlike Boeing, Joby Aviation is not a blue chip stock. Typical for startups, the company continues to mount losses, having <a href="https://ir.jobyaviation.com/news-events/press-releases/detail/89/joby-aviation-reports-fourth-quarter-and-full-year-2023" target="_blank">reported</a> $513 million net loss for full-year 2023 versus $258 million net loss for full-year 2022.</p>



<p>Likewise, Joby nearly doubled its liabilities, from $128.2 million in 2022 to $235 million in 2023, while stakeholders&rsquo; equity essentially remained flat. Nonetheless, Joby does have investors with deep pockets to keep going. Alongside <strong>Toyota </strong>(NYSE:<a href="https://investorplace.com/stock-quotes/tm-stock-quote/"><strong>TM</strong></a>) and <strong>Uber</strong> (NYSE:<a href="https://investorplace.com/stock-quotes/uber-stock-quote/"><strong>UBER</strong></a>), <strong>South Korean SK Telecom</strong> (NYSE:<a href="https://investorplace.com/stock-quotes/skm-stock-quote/"><strong>SKM</strong></a>) contributed $100 million alone last June.</p>



<p>At present price level of about $5.22, JOBY stock is 28% away from its 52-week low point of $3.72 per share. Nasdaq&rsquo;s forecasting puts the average JOBY price target at $7 per share, following a 15.70% year-to-date decline.</p>



<h2>EHang Holdings Limited (EH)</h2>

In the form of American Depositary Shares, <strong>EHang Holdings</strong> (NASDAQ:<a href="https://investorplace.com/stock-quotes/eh-stock-quote/"><strong>EH</strong></a>) is up about 19% year-to-date, having appreciated significantly over one year, positioning it as a major player in the emerging market of flying car stocks.</p>



<p><a href="https://www.ehang.com/news/638.html">Since 2020</a>, EHang has been deploying e-ports for Automated Aerial Vehicles. This suggested the company has the blessing of the Chinese government, as it eventually completed flight tests and received multiple certifications to deploy its two-passenger multicopter, the <a href="https://evtol.news/ehang-216/">EH216-S</a>.</p>



<p>Seeing the need for greater energy density, EHang strategically invested in solid-state lithium metal battery technology last September, spearheaded by Shenzhen Inx Technology. In EHang&rsquo;s March <a href="https://ir.ehang.com/financial-information/quarterly-results" target="_blank">earnings report</a>, the company revealed (unaudited) 165% year-over-year revenue growth, with a positive operating cash flow.&nbsp;</p>



<p>EHang&rsquo;s net loss for full-year 2023 was $42.6 million, which is an 8.2% improvement from 2022. At $18.83 per share, EH stock has increased 98% from the 52-week low point of $9.50.</p>

<p>Artificial Intelligence (<strong>AI</strong>) visionary Sam Altman has dominated the tech world over the past couple of years. He shot to fame following OpenAI&rsquo;s release of its groundbreaking large language model, ChatGPT, in late 2022. </p>



<p>Since then, ChatGPT has become ubiquitous, with Altman becoming synonymous with all things AI. Though OpenAI made Altman famous, his investments in other tech companies have made him a billionaire. With him pocketing millions through share price gains over the years, investing in Sam Altman stocks has become crucial for the savvy investor.</p>



<p>Altman has been one of the most prolific stealth investors, boasting a stake in more than 125 companies since 2010. He&rsquo;s linked to a web of investment vehicles, including <strong>Apollo Projects</strong>, <strong>Hydrazine Capital</strong>, <strong>Altman Capital</strong> and the <strong>OpenAI Startup Fund</strong>. Hence, there&rsquo;s no need to shed tears here over him not holding any equity in OpenAI. </p>

Its stock sale had investors losing their minds, which ended with it being oversubscribed by five times. Consequently, shares shot up 48% on its first trading day, much to the delight of new and old company investors.</p>



<p>Sam Altman, in particular, pocketed a nifty $200 million gain following Reddit&rsquo;s bombastic first day, taking <a href="https://www.cnbc.com/2024/03/21/sam-altmans-reddit-stake-worth-over-600-million-after-nyse-debut.html">its take to more than $613 million</a>. To put things in perspective, he&rsquo;s one of Reddit&rsquo;s largest investors, with almost a 7.6% control of outstanding shares. Moreover, he&rsquo;s been involved with Reddit since 2014, serving on its board until January 2022, noting how he&rsquo;s used the service daily for nine years.</p>



<p>Nonetheless, RDDT stock <a href="https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/RDDT/momentum/performance">is down more than 30%</a>, attracting conflicting analyst opinions. No matter which side you find compelling, it&rsquo;s tough to deny Reddit&rsquo;s relevancy since its inception.</p>



<h2>Airbnb (ABNB)</h2>

<p>Sam Altman was among the early investors in the company, wagering $100,000 in the business back in 2008. Moreover, he&rsquo;s been buddies with the company&rsquo;s co-founder and Chief Executive Officer (<strong>CEO</strong>) Brian Chesky. The two have been close confidants, having consulted on different projects. Moreover, Chesky stood on the frontlines defending Altman following his dismissal as OpenAI&rsquo;s CEO last year.</p>



<p>The details about its current investment status in ABNB are scant. But it&rsquo;s likely to have paid off substantially. ABNB had its IPO four years ago and popped 113% on its <a href="https://www.cnbc.com/2020/12/10/airbnb-ipo-abnb-starts-trading-on-the-nasdaq.html">trading day to $146</a>. Moreover, it was the largest IPO in the market that year, raising a whopping $3.5 billion in investment.&nbsp;</p>



<p>Over the years, Airbnb has operated an efficient business, growing its top and bottom line by sizeable margins. Additionally, it has been ticking in the green in the past six months, <a href="https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/ABNB/momentum/performance">generating over a 42% return</a>.</p>



<h2>Uber Technologies (UBER)</h2>

He has invested $100,000 in Uber during the formative years of app-based ride-sharing platforms, believing in the sector&rsquo;s disruptive potential.</p>



<p>Moreover, he&rsquo;s been a huge fan of the platform over the years, having supported it for both its product and business model. Furthermore, despite the concerns over Uber&rsquo;s operational dynamics, it has proven to be an excellent business over the years.</p>



<p>Moreover, its coming off a superb quarter, where gross bookings have risen 22% to $37.6 million, blowing past estimates of $37.2 billion. With a 21% year-over-year (<strong>YOY</strong>) increase in gross bookings, the company&rsquo;s revenues shot up 15.1% to $9.9 billion, beating consensus estimates by $174 million. Consequently, we&rsquo;ve seen UBER stock take off, rising roughly 70% in the past six months. It is poised for robust long-term gains as it evolves.</p>

As a sector dependent on robust consumer sentiment, it faces significant challenges.</p>



<p>Here&rsquo;s the bad news. The Federal Reserve just stated that <a href="https://www.barrons.com/livecoverage/fed-interest-rates-jerome-powell-speech-live">progress on inflation has stalled</a>. As a result, officials are &ldquo;prepared to maintain the current target range for the federal funds rate for as long as appropriate,&rdquo; according to Chairman Jerome Powell.</p>



<p>On the other hand, when the Fed gives you lemons, you can make lemonade. Should cyclical ideas stumble, you can potentially grab a discount on premium enterprises. With that thought, here are travel stocks to buy if they encounter a correction.</p>



<h2>Wyndham Hotels &amp; Resorts (WH)</h2>

Currently, WH trades for a <a href="https://www.gurufocus.com/stock/WH/summary?search=wh">price/earnings-to-growth (PEG) ratio</a> of 0.97X. That&rsquo;s lower than the sector median 1.7X. Generally speaking, it&rsquo;s a consistently profitable enterprise, commanding a return on equity (ROE) of 29.08%.</p>



<p>For the current fiscal year, covering experts anticipate Wyndham to post earnings per share of $4.24. That&rsquo;s up noticeably from the prior year&rsquo;s result of $4.01. On the top line, they&rsquo;re looking for sales of $1.45 billion. If so, we&rsquo;re talking about a 3.7% lift from 2023&rsquo;s haul of $1.4 billion.</p>



<p>Interestingly, WH trades for 4.49X trailing-year revenue. That&rsquo;s a rich premium compared to other hotel-related travel stocks to buy. However, in the fourth quarter, the aforementioned ratio ran up to 4.92X. So, at this point, you&rsquo;d be getting a relative deal. If prices correct, the deal could get even more attractive.</p>



<h2>Uber Technologies (UBER)</h2>

For example, the ride-sharing giant trades at <a href="https://www.gurufocus.com/stock/UBER/summary?search=uber">nearly 79X trailing-year earnings</a>. That&rsquo;s well above the underlying software industry&rsquo;s median ratio of 27.4X. However, the beauty of Uber is that it&rsquo;s a growth machine. Its three-year sales expansion rate clocks in at 41%.</p>



<p>For the present fiscal year, analysts are looking for EPS of $1.34.&nbsp; That&rsquo;s a sizable leap from last year&rsquo;s print of 81 cents. Not only that, the most optimistic target calls for earnings of $2.37 per share. On the top line, they&rsquo;re targeting revenue of $43.28 billion. That&rsquo;s a stout 24.3% higher than 2023&rsquo;s tally of $34.83 billion. In the following year, sales could soar to $50.36 billion.</p>



<p>Granted, UBER stock trades at 3.72X trailing-year sales. That&rsquo;s not outrageously high for the software industry but it&rsquo;s up there. Still, it&rsquo;s a relative discount compared to the first quarter of 2023. Back then, UBER was trading at 4.11X sales.</p>



<p>With so much growth anticipated in the next two years, UBER could be one of the travel stocks to buy.</p>



<h2>Disney (DIS)</h2>

As it relates to travel stocks to buy, the company offers a world-renowned portfolio of theme parks and resorts. It&rsquo;s fun for the whole family and makes for awesome date-night ideas too. However, it&rsquo;s also involved in distracting political controversies. Plus, big enterprises can fall pretty hard under the &ldquo;right&rdquo; circumstances.</p>



<p>Nevertheless, if the Magic Kingdom stumbles, speculators may want to add DIS to their list of travel stocks to buy. For one thing, analysts anticipate EPS to hit $4.71 at the end of this fiscal year. That&rsquo;s up significantly from the prior year&rsquo;s print of $3.76. On the top line, they&rsquo;re seeking sales of $91.83 billion. That&rsquo;s modest growth from 2023&rsquo;s tally of $88.9 billion. Still, growth is growth.</p>



<p>As a blue-chip giant, DIS stock isn&rsquo;t cheap. Right now, shares trade for 2.29X trailing-year revenue. However, back in Q1 last year, this multiple ran up to 4.11X. Should the red ink start flying, Disney might offer up a solid contrarian opportunity.</p>
