Diamondback Energy, Inc.&nbsp;(NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/FANG#NASDAQ">FANG</a>) reported first-quarter FY24 revenue of $2.227 billion, beating&nbsp;<a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com/pressreleases/24/04/g38532980/diamondback-energy-inc-announces-first-quarter-2024-financial-and-operating-results" rel="noreferrer noopener">the consensus of&nbsp;$2.088 billion</a>.
Average daily oil volume production stood at 273.3 MBO/d,&nbsp;which was&nbsp;at the high end of the quarterly<a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com/pressreleases/24/04/g38533020/letter-to-stockholders-issued-by-diamondback-energy-inc" rel="noreferrer noopener">&nbsp;guidance range of 270 &#8211; 274 MBO/d</a>.
Daily combined volumes came in at 461.1 MBOE/d in the quarter. The company&#8217;s average unhedged realized prices stood at $75.06 per barrel of oil, $0.99 per Mcf of natural gas, and $21.26 per barrel of natural gas liquids (NGLs), resulting in a total unhedged realized price of $50.07 per BOE.
Cash operating costs were $11.52 per BOE vs. $11.61 per BOE the year-ago quarter. Oil realizations remained relatively flat Q/Q at 98% of West Texas Intermediate (WTI) pricing in the quarter.&nbsp;
In the quarter, Diamondback drilled 69 gross wells in the Midland Basin and&nbsp;10&nbsp;gross wells in the Delaware Basin. The company turned 101 operated wells to production, all in the Midland Basin, with an average lateral length of 11,463 feet.&nbsp;
Adjusted EBITDA was $1.6&nbsp;billion compared to $1.4 billion in the prior quarter. Adjusted EPS&nbsp;of $4.50&nbsp;<a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com/calendars/earnings" rel="noreferrer noopener">surpassed the estimate of&nbsp;$4.42</a>.
Operating cash flow stood at $1.3 billion, and cash capital expenditures of $609 million in the quarter.
As of March-end, the company had cash of $876 million, with approximately $1.6 billion available for future borrowings under its revolving credit facility and approximately $2.5 billion of total liquidity.&nbsp;
Dividend: Diamondback declared a&nbsp;first quarter&nbsp;base cash dividend of $0.90 per share and a variable cash dividend of $1.07 per share,&nbsp;both&nbsp;payable on May&nbsp;22 to stockholders of record as of May&nbsp;15.
Repurchase: In the quarter, Diamondback repurchased 279,266 common shares for around $42 million, excluding excise tax.&nbsp;

The&nbsp;company expects to realize at least 95% of WTI when WTI is at least $65 per barrel, with most quarters (like the first quarter) above that number.

Oiltanking Partners Increases Quarterly Distribution From $0.2725 To $0.285/share

Alerian announced today that Oiltanking Partners (NYSE: <a class="ticker" href="/stock/oilt#NYSE">OILT</a>) is expected to be added to the Alerian MLP Index (NYSE: <a class="ticker" href="/stock/amz#NYSE">AMZ</a>) and the Alerian MLP Equal Weight Index (CME: AMZE), replacing QR Energy (NYSE: <a class="ticker" href="/stock/qre#NYSE">QRE</a>) in a special rebalancing.
Special rebalancings are triggered by corporate actions that result in the termination of trading of an index constituent on a major US exchange. Such corporate actions include, but are not limited to, mergers, delistings, and bankruptcies. Pending unitholder approval, QRE will cease to trade on the NYSE due to its merger with BreitBurn Energy Partners (NYSE: <a class="ticker" href="/stock/bbep#NYSE">BBEP</a>). If approved, the rebalancing will take place one full trading session after the issuance of a press release indicating all needed merger votes have passed.
Oiltanking Partners owns and operates crude oil, refined petroleum products, and liquefied petroleum gas storage and transportation assets.

The following are the M&amp;A deals, rumors and chatter circulating on Wall Street for Wednesday November 12, 2014:
Enterprise Products and Oiltanking Partners Announce Merger Agreement 
The Deal: Enterprise Products Partners L.P. (NYSE: <a class="ticker" href="/stock/epd#NYSE">EPD</a>) and Oiltanking Partners, L.P. (NYSE: <a class="ticker" href="/stock/oilt#NYSE">OILT</a>) announced Wednesday, that the companies have entered into a merger agreement. Under the terms of the agreement, Oiltanking Partners would merge with a subsidiary of Enterprise in a unit-for-unit exchange. Oiltanking Partners unitholders would receive 1.3 Enterprise common units for each Oiltanking Partners common unit.
The merger is expected to be completed in early 2015.
Oiltanking Partners shares gained almost 7% Wednesday, to close at $48.30.
Yahoo Shareholders Push for Merger with AOL
The Shareholder Comments: Two major Yahoo! Inc. (NASDAQ: <a class="ticker" href="/stock/yhoo#NASDAQ">YHOO</a>) shareholders are asking AOL Inc. (NYSE: <a class="ticker" href="/stock/aol#NYSE">AOL</a>) CEO Tim Armstrong to consider a merger of the two companies, according to Reuters. The shareholders are reportedly unhappy with the performance of Yahoo CEO Marissa Mayer and would like Armstrong to head a combined company.
Yahoo shareholder Starboard Value LP, has pushed for a deal with AOL, including a spinoff of some Yahoo assets. Starboard did not speak to Reuters for this story. AOL and Yahoo declined comment on the report.
Yahoo shares rose 3% Wednesday, to close at $50.60, while AOL shares more than 1%, closing at $45.84.
BB&amp;T to Acquire Susquehanna Bancshares for $13.50/Share in Cash, Stock Deal
The Deal: BB&amp;T Corporation (NYSE: <a class="ticker" href="/stock/bbt#NYSE">BBT</a>) and Susquehanna Bancshares, Inc. (NASDAQ: <a class="ticker" href="/stock/susq#NASDAQ">SUSQ</a>) announced Wednesday that BB&amp;T will acquire Susquehanna in a cash and stock transaction valued at approximately $2.5 billion. Susquehanna shareholders will receive 0.253 shares of BB&amp;T common stock, plust $4.05 in cash for each share of Susquehanna common stock, valued at $13.50, per share based on the average closing price of BB&amp;T over the 45 trading days ending on November 10, 2014.
Susquehanna Bancshares closed Wednesday at $13.12, a gain of $3.22. BB&amp;T shares lost $0.66 to close at $37.67.
Churchill Downs to Acquire Big Fish Games for $485M, Plus Considerations
The Deal: Churchill Downs Incorporated (NASDAQ: <a class="ticker" href="/stock/chdn#NASDAQ">CHDN</a>) and online and mobile game producer, Big Fish Games, announced Wednesday an agreement under which Churchill Downs will acquire all of the outstanding stock and equity interests of Big Fish for a value of up to $885 million, including a base consideration of $485 million, a potential earn-out payment of up to $350 million based on 2015 Adjusted EBITDA, and a potential bonus payment to founder and CEO, Paul Thelen, of $50 million based on 2016 bookings. 
The deal is expected to close by the end of the year.
Churchill Downs closed Wednesday at $104.55, a gain of $0.12. 
Riverbed to Take Initial Bids Next Week
The Rumor: Shares of Riverbed Technology, Inc. (NASDAQ: <a class="ticker" href="/stock/rvbd#NASDAQ">RVBD</a>) surged higher Wednesday on a report from Deal Reporter that the company will be beginning accepting the first round of bids next week. Shareholder Elliott Management has been pushing the Riverbed Board to sell, either to Elliott or another buyer, without success. Elliott has offered $21.00 per share for Riverbed and has reaffirmed that offer several times.
Riverbed and Elliott Management did not respond to requests for comment.
Riverbed Technology closed Wednesday at $19.57, a gain of 3.5%. 
BHP Billiton Rumored to Offer $25.00/Share for Peabody Energy
The Rumor: Shares of Peabody Energy Corp. (NYSE: <a class="ticker" href="/stock/btu#NYSE">BTU</a>) rose Wednesday on unconfirmed takeover chatter that BHP Billiton Limited (NYSE: <a class="ticker" href="/stock/bhp#NYSE">BHP</a>) might offer $25 per share. On October 28, a Form 4 filing showed Peabody director Karn purchased 9,000 Shares at $10.35 per share.
Spokespersons for Peabody and BHP declined comment on today's rumor. A source familiar with the matter, said M&amp;A was not part of BHP's plan.
Peabody Energy closed Wednesday at $11.60, a gain of 4.22%.
