Barings Participation Investors Announced That It Has Declared A Quarterly Dividend Increase From $0.34 To $0.35 Per Share

The Board of Trustees of Barings Participation Investors (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/MPV#NYSE">MPV</a>) (the "Trust") today announced that it has declared a quarterly dividend of $0.34 per share payable on November 17, 2023, to shareholders of record on November 6, 2023.
Clifford Noreen, Chairman, stated, "We are pleased to announce an increase of $0.02 per share to the Trust's quarterly cash dividend, which represents a 6.3% increase over the previous dividend of $0.32 per share and a 70.0% increase since we started raising the dividend from $0.20 per share approximately one year ago. Significant growth in net investment income, due primarily to increases in base rates for our floating rate holdings, has led the Board of Trustees to declare the fifth consecutive increase to the quarterly dividend, further benefiting shareholders."
The Trust will report preliminary financial results for the third quarter of 2023 on November 16, 2023.

CHARLOTTE, N.C.,&nbsp;Oct. 3, 2022&nbsp;/PRNewswire/ -- The Board of Trustees of Barings Participation Investors (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/MPV#NYSE">MPV</a>) (the &quot;Trust&quot;) today announced that it has declared a quarterly dividend of&nbsp;$0.22&nbsp;per share payable on&nbsp;November 18, 2022&nbsp;to shareholders of record on&nbsp;November 7, 2022.&nbsp; This represents an increase of&nbsp;$0.02&nbsp;per share or&nbsp;10.0%&nbsp;over the previous dividend of&nbsp;$0.20&nbsp;per share. The Trust will report preliminary financial results for the&nbsp;third quarter&nbsp;of 2022 on&nbsp;November 17, 2022.

Barings Participation Investors Announces Increased Quarterly Cash Dividend From $0.20 To $0.22 Per Share

Thursday marks the last chance for investors to receive the next dividend payout from Barings Participation (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/MPV#NYSE">MPV</a>).

The company announced on Thursday that it would pay shareholders a quarterly dividend of 20 per share. On Friday, Barings Participation will go ex-dividend, meaning the stock will trade lower to reflect that payout. In other words, the stock will likely open 20 lower than it would have opened on any other day.
In order to be eligible to receive a company's dividend, shareholders must own the stock prior to the ex-dividend date—in this case, Friday. Shareholders who own MPV as of the end of Thursday's session are eligible to receive the 20 dividend payout for every share that they own.
