Thomson Reuters (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/TRI#NYSE">TRI</a>) announced today that it and certain investment funds affiliated with Blackstone collectively sold 17.3 million London Stock Exchange Group PLC (LSEG) shares that they co-own for a price of £91.50 per share. The sale was conducted through a placement to institutional investors and an offer to retail investors. Following the settlement of the transaction, Thomson Reuters will no longer hold any interest in LSEG.
Of the shares sold, approximately 4.3 million shares were indirectly owned by Thomson Reuters. Upon the closing of the transaction, Thomson Reuters expects to receive pre-tax net proceeds of approximately $0.5 billion.

Today, speaking at a panel at the Qatar Economic Forum in Doha, Chief Executive Patrick Pouyanne&nbsp;said, &#8220;I repeat, we&#8217;ll stay in France, we&#8217;ll&nbsp;be listed&nbsp;in France,&#8221; reported Reuters.
&#8220;We have more and more U.S. shareholders, and we have&nbsp;less&nbsp;European shareholders, including French shareholders&nbsp;&#8211;&nbsp;probably because of all the debate about ESG, etc. That&#8217;s the reality.&nbsp;And then you see quite a different valuation between the U.S.&nbsp;markets&nbsp;and&nbsp;the&nbsp;European&nbsp;market.&#8221;

Poyanne added, &#8220;Today&nbsp;you&nbsp;see even&nbsp;&#8211;&nbsp;because of the European market becoming an LNG market after the&nbsp;Russian Ukraine&nbsp;war&nbsp;&#8211;&nbsp;you&nbsp;see&nbsp;that we are in a tense market where&nbsp;in&nbsp;fact&nbsp;supply is even short demand.&#8221;
&#8220;So probably we&#8217;ll have&nbsp;by 2027, 2030&nbsp;quite a lot of supply,&#8221; he said, adding that lower prices would&nbsp;draw&nbsp;new customers.
On April 26, Pouyanne told analysts&nbsp;&#8220;TotalEnergies was &#8216;seriously&#8217; looking at a possible primary listing in New York to ensure easier access for U.S. investors, adding that he would report back to the board by September.&#8221;
Earlier this month, TotalEnergies and SINOPEC partnered to develop a 230,000 tons/year&nbsp;<a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com/markets/equities/24/05/38667412/east-meets-green-totalenergies-and-sinopec-team-up-for-low-carbon-future" rel="noreferrer noopener">sustainable aviation fuel unit in a China refinery</a>.
