UniFirst Canada Ltd. Acquires McGuire Uniforms

UniFirst Canada Ltd., a leading provider of work uniforms and facility services to businesses throughout Canada, has announced the purchase of McGuire Uniforms of Mississauga, Ontario. The acquisition unites two of Canada's largest suppliers of direct purchase programs for customized employee workwear. The businesses will operate under UniFirst Canada Ltd. and will continue to maintain all of their current facilities. Headquartered in Oakville, Ontario, UniFirst Canada is a wholly owned entity of UniFirst Corporation UNF of Wilmington, Mass., and has over 20 branch and satellite offices across Canada. UniFirst has been supplying uniforms in Canada for more than 30 years, beginning as Unitog Canada Ltd., which was purchased by UniFirst Corporation in 1986. The McGuire acquisition will nearly double its current direct-purchase program.
