Luxoft Launches NFV Orchestrator SuperCloud At The SDN And OpenFlow World Congress

Luxoft Holding, Inc LXFT, a leading provider of software development services and innovative IT solutions to a global client base, today announced the launch of SuperCloud, a Network Function Virtualization (NFV) orchestration platform. Luxoft, along with partners Qosmos and Certes Networks, will demonstrate SuperCloud at the Open Networking Foundation's (ONF) inaugural Software-Defined Networking (SDN) Solutions Showcase at the SDN and OpenFlow World Congress in Düsseldorf, Germany on October 15, 16, and 17, 2014. NFV enables rapid and flexible deployment, with high availability and scalability of Virtual Network Functions (VNF) in data centers that are hosted by software-defined operators such as communications service providers, multi-services operators and cloud services providers, and large enterprise IT customers. The SuperCloud NFV orchestration platform is vendor neutral, hardware independent, and follows the widely-accepted European Telecommunications Standard Institute's (ETSI) NVF architecture, allowing providers to leverage this platform and enhance it further using Luxoft's professional services. SuperCloud is designed to be ecosystem friendly, and vendors have already embraced it for their product integration. Luxoft's industry leading technology partners, Qosmos, a vendor specializing in Deep Packet Inspection (DPI) technology, and Certes Networks, a vendor specializing in Virtual Private Networks (VPN) and data communications encryption solutions, have already integrated their VNF products with SuperCloud to form a data center solution that can be easily deployed. “We are delighted to work with Luxoft to showcase SuperCloud,” said Erik Larsson, Vice President of Marketing at Qosmos. “Network intelligence in the form of DPI and related technologies are essential to deliver effective, customer-driven cloud infrastructure based on SDN and NFV.” “Securing data traffic is increasingly critical because of the skyrocketing hacking attacks taking place around the world,” said Adam Boone, Chief Marketing Officer for Certes Networks. “Through this partnership with Luxoft, we are offering virtualized CryptoFlow data encryptors that make it very simple to protect sensitive data moving over any network. SuperCloud will bring powerful NVF capabilities to service providers and enterprises.” Luxoft and their partners will demonstrate a pragmatic DevOps use case of tenant driven orchestration of NFV services to honor service level agreements for virtualized data centers. “NFV is a quick and cost-effective way for network operators to begin experiencing the benefits of virtualization and decrease their reliance on hardware, increasing flexibility, saving money, and accelerating time-to-market for new services,” said ONF Executive Director Dan Pitt. “The ONF SDN Solutions Showcase will offer attendees a look at real world networking solutions in action, and we are excited to have Luxoft, Qosmos, and Certes Networks join us in Dusseldorf for the event.” “SuperCloud supports OpenFlow as well as overlay software defined network technologies and can help customers migrate network services from today's rigid networks to programmable software defined networks. We see this as the future,” said Luxoft's Vice President for Technology Strategy, Vasiliy Suvorov. “We can now offer customers a one-stop-shop by not only providing a top notch NFV orchestration platform, but also support it with our services surrounding consulting, customization, feature development support, testing, and maintenance for the platform.” For all those attending SDN World Congress, you can find Luxoft at Booth #1.
