UBIC Obtains U.S. Patent for "Custodian Mapping;" A Function Of Its eDiscovery Support System "Lit i View"

UBIC, Inc. UBIC (TSE:2158), a leading provider of international litigation support and big-data analysis services, today announced it was granted a U.S. patent recognizing the Company's development of unique information technology used in the archiving and retrieval of historical information related to the legal discovery process. The patent number 8793277 was assigned by the U.S. Patent Office and this patent will be issued on July 29, 2014. Such custodian-related materials often exist within very large masses of electronic data and are assembled by a services provider like UBIC for companies in litigation or under investigation. The Company received a patent for this technology in Japan on November 25, 2011.
