IPC The Hospitalist Company, Inc. (Nasdaq: IPCM), a leading national hospitalist physician group practice company, announced that it has appointed Jeffrey Winter to the newly created position of Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing. Winter will lead IPC's nationwide sales and marketing efforts.

“Jeff is an exceptionally accomplished leader, and we are excited to have him as part of the executive leadership team,” said Richard Russell, the Company's Chief Development Officer. “We believe that his broad healthcare experience will bring valuable contributions to the Company and we are excited to have a seasoned healthcare executive of his caliber on the team.”

Commenting on his new position, Winter says, “I am thrilled to be part of the IPC team and look forward to helping the organization achieve its goals. IPC has a very successful track record and holds great potential for additional organic growth, based on an ongoing commitment to partnership with our acute and post-acute facilities, our payers, our referring physicians, and most importantly the patients we treat.”

Winter most recently served as the Vice President of New Business Development for Correctional Medical Services, Inc. / Corizon Health, the market leader in correctional healthcare. Prior to that position, Winter served as Chief of Staff for KPMG, coordinating business development efforts for their National Healthcare Practice. Winter earned his bachelor's degree from Westminster College in Fulton, Missouri, and received his MBA from Webster University.
