William Lyon Homes Acquires Four New Home Communities at Southshore in Aurora; Terms Undisclosed

William Lyon Homes (the “Company”) WLH today announced the expansion of its business in Colorado, under the Village Homes brand, with the purchase of 221 homesites at the master-planned Southshore community in Aurora, Colorado. “The Colorado market is an important area of growth for us, and we are leveraging the strong reputation of our Village Homes division to meet the demand for high-quality homes in the region,” said William H. Lyon, Chief Executive Officer. “The purchase of these homesites in the award-winning community of Southshore enables us to further strengthen our position in the greater Denver market.” Village Homes will build 20 plans across four collections of homes in the Southshore community. Homes will range from 1,800 to 4,100 square feet and include a variety of styles including lakefront cottage, prairie, craftsman, farmhouse, colonial and Victorian. Construction on 10 model homes will begin later this year, and homes should be available for purchase in the first quarter of 2014. “We are excited to begin construction on our new homesites in Southshore, which is one of Colorado's premier developments,” said J.
