Blyth Updates Activity In Its Share Repurchase Program

Blyth BTH, a direct to consumer company and leading designer and marketer of candles, accessories for the home, and health and wellness products, indicated that it has repurchased shares in the open market under its share repurchase authorization. During its fourth fiscal quarter, and subsequent to the finalization and disclosure of its new agreement with the ViSalus founders, the Company repurchased 411,336 shares, or approximately 2.5% of its 17 million shares outstanding. The company has 1.6 million shares remaining in its existing authorization. Chairman & CEO Robert B. Goergen noted that, "from time to time, the Company will repurchase shares when we believe it is in the best interest of our long-term shareholders based on our growth, profitability and cash flow outlook. We believe recent market conditions offered such an opportunity. We also intend to seek an increase in our existing authorization from Blyth's Board of Directors to continue our repurchase program in 2013 when market conditions warrant it."
