Assurant Solutions Names Shawn Marcotte as COO

Specialty insurer Assurant Solutions today announces the appointment of Shawn Marcotte as chief operating officer and vice president of International Operations. Marcotte will report to Mike Anderson, president of Assurant Solutions International, and lead operations including process improvement and strategic relationships. His role will also include providing strategic direction for information technology initiatives for Assurant Solutions in 13 countries across the globe. Adept at both strategic planning and tactical execution, Marcotte brings a wealth of supply chain, logistics, planning and quality experience in industries including wireless and telecommunications. Most recently, he served as Latin America operations director at Brightstar, a global services company serving mobile device manufacturers, wireless operators and retailers. "Shawn's global experience in diverse industries, track record for operational excellence and leadership abilities made him the right person for this position," said Mike Anderson, president of Assurant Solutions International. "Shawn's expertise will help us increase efficiency and improve our operational performance as we strategically grow our international operations."
