General Steel Says Doesn't Comment on Unusual Market Activity

General Steel Holdings, Inc. ("General Steel" or "the Company")

, one of China's leading non-state-owned producers of steel products and aggregators of domestic steel companies, today announced that in view of the unusual market activity in the Company's stock, the New York Stock Exchange ("the NYSE") has contacted the Company in accordance with its usual practice. The Company informed the NYSE that its policy is not to comment on unusual market activity.
