Cato May Same-Store Sales Up 3%

The Cato Corporation CATO today reported sales of $84.3 million for the four weeks ended May 26, 2012, a 4% increase over sales of $80.7 million for the four weeks ended May 28, 2011. Same-store sales for the month increased 3%. Sales for the seventeen weeks ended May 26, 2012 were $357.1 million, a 2% increase over sales of $351.7 million for the seventeen weeks ended May 28, 2011. The Company's year-to-date same-store sales decreased 1%.
