Baker Receives Contract Supplements for Three Bridge Replacement Projects in Georgia

The LPA Group Incorporated, a unit of Michael Baker Corporation

, has received supplements totaling $3.3 million on contracts it has with the Georgia Department of Transportation to replace three structurally deficient bridge crossings over Lake Lanier on State Route 369, just west of the city of Gainesville. LPA will provide a number of engineering and design services for the bridge replacement projects, including preparation of the environmental document, preliminary and final construction plans, utility coordination, survey database preparation and geotechnical investigations. Work on the projects began in December 2011 and will take approximately three years to complete.
