Teradata up 9% on Strong Q1 Earnings

is trading higher on the session following its Q1 earnings and full year guidance announcements. The company reported an EPS of $0.60 vs $0.56 estimates and revenues $613 million vs $587.52 million estimates. Teradata sees 2012 EPS of $2.60-$2.70 vs $2.64 estimates. Mike Koehler, president and chief executive officer stated: "Teradata delivered our highest organic, constant-currency revenue growth quarter ever in the first quarter, fueled by record product revenue growth of 31 percent. We have the widest and deepest portfolio in the market to address the analytic data needs of any organization. Teradata is well positioned in three large and growing markets - data warehousing, big data analytics and integrated marketing management." Teradata is currently trading at $78.91, a gain of $6.72 or 9.31%.
