These Moms Will Make You a Deal You Can't Refuse
Forget Vito Corleone — Daily Deals for Moms is more than willing to make deals your local retailers can't refuse, saving you hundreds or thousands of dollars every year.
What is Daily Deals for Moms? It's a website that allows users to receive unbelievable deals on products and services that are local to the user and relevant to moms, kids, and families. Or, as they put it on the DDFM website, "The idea is to feature great biz, drive consumers through the doors, keep our dollars local and have a great time doing it!"
The premise is similar to Groupon, with a twist: it specializes in family-friendly and mom-centered deals. For example, today's deal of the day for Boston is for 52% off Class Action Fitness, giving local moms the opportunity to work out their daily stress at less than half price.
It turns out that making incredible deals with retailers is not the only thing Daily Deals for Moms has in common with Groupon. Like the online coupon giant, which recently announced plans to launch an IPO, Daily Deals for Mom has attracted some funding from a pretty big source. While the amount of financing is unknown, the company has taken on angel investor funding from a series of investors.
The group of investors includes Victor Lazzaro, Jr. of Denver based Volante Capital, LLC. The company will keep the financing open to strategic investors, but intends to close the round within the next few weeks. The infusion of capital will fuel growth, further build infrastructure, and continue to drive awareness of the site as it expands into more cities.
In other words, look for great deals for you and the family to come to your hometown, soon! Daily Deals for Moms can be found online at http://www.dailydealsformoms.com, or on twitter at http://twitter.com/dailydeals4moms, or on facebook at http://www.facebook.com/DailyDealsforMoms.
