About

I'm a political writer and analyst who has been involved in politics since I was nine years old. It is my passion. I'm a believer that the capitalism that works best is the one in which the amassing of power is limited (and not amplified) by government. I'm a Leo and, despite the seriousness of things I usually write about, have a bit of a sense of humor. I can take a punch, and typically do. I am not always right, and love to hear from readers about what they'd do differently. Probably the best part of my job is the interaction I get to have with people I've never met, all of whom are glad to share their two cents on why I am a genius/jerk/scumbag/hero. With that in mind, please feel free to comment on any of my stories (I read them all) or, if the matter is more personal, to contact me directly at john@benzinga.com

I guess I never really thought about how many airplanes an airline would need. Surely, they'd be a major purchase that would get bought in batches, a few a time, right?
