Direxion Daily Semiconductor Bear 3X Shares (NYSE: SOXS) led the gainers among the ETFs today, as semiconductor stocks continued to lose ground. Intel (NASDAQ: INTC) fell 2.23% to $17.96, while Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. (NYSE: AMD) dropped 4.93% and closed at $5.78.
Direxion Small Cap Bear 3X Shares (ETF) (NYSE: TZA) jumped 6.57% today, as the Russell 2000 Index lost 2.44%. Parametric Technology (NASDAQ: PMTC) is Russell 2000 component, and it dropped 2.06%.
Direxion Daily Finan. Bear 3X Shares(ETF) (NYSE: FAZ) gained 5.51% on the weakness in the financial sector. Wells Fargo & Company (NYSE: WFC) fell 3.12% today, and Citigroup Inc. (NYSE: C) dropped 2.39%, and closed at $3.67.
ProShares UltraShort MSCI Brazil (NYSE: BZQ) jumped 5.24%, as Vale (ADR) (NYSE: VALE) and Petroleo Brasileiro SA (ADR) (NYSE: PBR) struggled today. VALE fell 2.76%, while Petroleo Brasileiro SA (ADR) (PBR) dropped 2.90%.
