Uber is the first company to announce a direct donation in support of the black community, according to Business Insider.
The ride-sharing company has had its own share of <a href="https://www.bbc.com/news/business-44791153">controversies</a> over race. Its chief people officer resigned in 2018 due to allegations concerning her handling of an investigation that involved racial discrimination.&nbsp;

Direxion, the second-largest issuer of inverse and leveraged ETFs, today introduced bearish equivalents for two of its recently introduced bullish, triple-leveraged funds.

	The Massachusetts-based ETF issuer introduced the Direxion Daily Brazil Bear 3X Shares (NYSE: BRZS) and the Direxion Daily South Korea Bear 3X Shares (NYSE: KORZ) on Wednesday. Direxion's launch of those two products comes about three weeks after the firm introduced the Direxion Daily South Korea Bull 3X Shares (NYSE: <a class="ticker" href="/stock/koru#NYSE">KORU</a>) and the Direxion Daily Brazil Bull 3X Shares (NYSE: <a class="ticker" href="/stock/brzu#NYSE">BRZU</a>).

	As is the the case with BRZU, the Direxion Daily Brazil Bear 3X Shares is a play on the MSCI Brazil Index, the same index tracked by the popular iShares MSCI Capped Brazil Index Fund. BRZS will seek to deliver the three times the daily inverse returns of that index.

	The Direxion Daily South Korea Bear 3X Shares will attempt to deliver three times the daily inverse returns of the MSCI South Korea Index, the index used by the iShares MSCI South Korea Capped Index Fund (NYSE: <a class="ticker" href="/stock/ewy#NYSE">EWY</a>).

	Both of the new ETFs have annual expense ratios of one percent.

	As <a href="http://www.benzinga.com/trading-ideas/long-ideas/13/04/3484301/direxion-rolls-out-leveraged-brazil-south-korea-etfs">was previously noted</a>, Direxion's leveraged Brazil plays are not the first such funds to come to market. Direxion, the second-largest issuer of leveraged ETFs, will introduce two new triple-leveraged country-specific funds Wednesday.

	South Korea, <a href="http://www.benzinga.com/trading-ideas/long-ideas/13/04/3475372/one-etf-that-is-glad-this-week-is-over">one of the laggards in a disappointing year for some emerging markets</a>, will finally get a triple-leveraged ETF in the form of the Direxion Daily South Korea Bull 3X Shares (NYSE: KORU).

	KORU will aim to provide three times the daily performance of the MSCI South Korea Index, the index used by the iShares MSCI South Korea Capped Index Fund (NYSE: <a class="ticker" href="/stock/ewy#NYSE">EWY</a>).

	Direxion's other new entrant to the world of triple-leveraged bullish emerging markets ETFs is the Direxion Daily Brazil Bull 3X Shares (NYSE: BRZU). BRZU will seek to deliver three times the daily performance of the MSCI Brazil Index, the same index tracked by the iShares MSCI Brazil Capped Index Fund (NYSE: <a class="ticker" href="/stock/ewz#NYSE">EWZ</a>).

	The timing of the debuts for BRZU and KORU is interesting considering EWZ, like EWY, <a href="http://www.benzinga.com/analyst-ratings/analyst-color/13/04/3472484/more-bad-news-for-brazil-etfs">has had its share of woes this year</a>. Then again, Brazilian and South Korean stocks rebound, BRZU and KORU could be very rewarding to some traders.

	KORU is the first leveraged play on South Korea while BRZU will face competition in the form of the double-leveraged ProShares Ultra MSCI Brazil (NYSE: <a class="ticker" href="/stock/ubr#NYSE">UBR</a>). UBR is nearly three years old.

	Direxion currently has three other leveraged country-specific bullish emerging markets ETFs trading. Direxion Rolls Out Leveraged Brazil, South Korea ETFs

ProShares, the largest issuer of inverse and leveraged ETFs, announced 2-for-1 splits for two of its ETFs and reverse splits for nine of its funds. The ProShares Ultra Nasdaq Biotechnology (NASDAQ: <a class="ticker" href="/stock/bib#NASDAQ">BIB</a>) and the ProShares Short VIX Short-Term Futures ETF (NYSE: <a class="ticker" href="/stock/svxy#NYSE">SVXY</a>) will be split 2-for-1.

All splits will apply to shareholders of record as of the close of the markets on October 2, 2012, payable after the close of the markets on October 4, 2012. The funds will trade at their post-split price on October 5, 2012, according to a statement issued by ProShares.

Nine ProShares ETFs will be reverse split on a 1-for-4 basis. Covidien's (NYSE: <a class="ticker" href="/stock/cov#NYSE">COV</a>) share price rose almost 5% in the past week to more than 20% higher than at the beginning of the year. The Dublin-based global health care products company recently announced plans for four new R&amp;D facilities. Covidien has a market cap of $26.1 billion and a dividend yield of 1.7%. Its return on equity is 19.9%. The construction materials producer also operates more than 700 stores throughout Europe. The Dublin-based company has a market cap is $15.4 billion. Ingersoll-Rand (NYSE: <a class="ticker" href="/stock/ir#NYSE">IR</a>) shares have rebounded from a recent pullback and are trading about 33% higher year to date. The Dublin-based company makes everything from Schlage locks to Trane air conditioners, and it posted better-than-expected earnings for the fourth quarter. It has a market cap of $12.0 billion and its dividend yield is 1.6%. Over the past six months, the stock has outperformed competitors such as Dover (NYSE: <a class="ticker" href="/stock/dov#NYSE">DOV</a>) and Gardner Denver (NYSE: <a class="ticker" href="/stock/gdi#NYSE">GDI</a>).

Over the past six months, the stock has outperformed JetBlue (NASDAQ: <a class="ticker" href="/stock/jblu#NASDAQ">JBLU</a>) and Southwest (NYSE: <a class="ticker" href="/stock/luv#NYSE">LUV</a>).

Seagate Technology (NASDAQ: <a class="ticker" href="/stock/stx#NASDAQ">STX</a>) is trading almost 69% higher than at the beginning of the year. Shares surged at the end of January when the hard drive maker said that its fiscal second-quarter net income more than tripled from a year earlier. Also known as AMBEV, this Sao Paolo-based company is a beer and soft drink producer founded in 1888. The $116.7 billion market cap company also has a dividend yield of 1.3%. Its return on equity is 33.4% and its operating margin is higher than those of competitors such as Coca-Cola (NYSE: <a class="ticker" href="/stock/ko#NYSE">KO</a>) and Fomento Economico Mexicano (NYSE: <a class="ticker" href="/stock/fmx#NYSE">FMX</a>).

The petrochemicals company saw flat EPS in Q3 and reports next on February 23. Based in Sao Paulo, the company has a market cap of $2.8 billion, a dividend yield of 2.7% and a long-term EPS growth forecast of 20.0%. The recent surge helped the stock outperform peers such as Magellon Midstream Partners (NYSE: <a class="ticker" href="/stock/mmp#NYSE">MMP</a>) over the past six months.
