SGL Carbon's net profit for the year dropped 73% to 7.2 million euros ($9.3 million), while sales climbed 11% to EUR1.71 billion.

Its earnings before interest and taxes declined 40% to EUR100 million, while adjusted EBIT fell 3.9% to EUR154.2 million.

SGL Carbon's earnings per share fell 91% to EUR0.10.
