Products that are based on market cap weighted indexes, which are strategies designed to reflect a specific market segment or the market as a whole, have traditionally dominated the ETF industry.

It can be said that value is in the eye of the beholder, but there probably isn&#39;t a practical universe in which Beyond Meat (NASDAQ: <a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/bynd#NASDAQ">BYND</a>) stock is considered value fare.
Value stocks typically don&#39;t rise 71% in less than a month as Beyond Meat shares have done so to start 2020. For those that need more convincing this stock isn&#39;t more expensive, there&#39;s the following data <a href="https://www.morningstar.com/stocks/xnas/bynd/quote">courtesy of Morningstar</a>: a price-to-sales ratio of 28.62 times, a price-to-book ratio of 17.82 times and a jaw-dropping forward price-to-earnings ratio of 416.67 times.
The research firm classifies Beyond Meat as a mid-cap growth stock, yet here we are discussing the stock&#39;s appearance in not one, but several value exchange traded funds.
To be fair, the following funds don&#39;t necessarily have significant Beyond Meat exposure on a percentage basis. Few ETFs do, but some of these products are value funds and are among the largest shareholders in Beyond Meat, a stock that clearly isn&#39;t a value proposition.
<h3>iShares Russell 1000 Value ETF (IWD)</h3>
The iShares Russell 1000 Value ETF (NYSE: <a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/iwd#NYSE">IWD</a>) tracks the Russell 1000 Value Index, the value offshoot of the popular Russell 1000, and holds 764 stocks. Beyond Meat represents a scant <a href="https://www.ishares.com/us/products/239708/?referrer=tickerSearch">0.03% of this ETF&#39;s weight</a>, but this fund does hold nearly 136,000 shares of the stock. On that basis, IWD is one of the largest ETF owners of Beyond Meat and, as its name implies, is a value fund.

<h3>iShares Russell Mid-Cap Value ETF (IWS)</h3>
I thought I said Morningstar classifies beyond as a mid-cap growth stock? I did, but here it is appearing in the iShares Russell Mid-Cap Value ETF (NYSE: <a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/iws#NYSE">IWS</a>), which is supposed to be a mid-cap value fund.
The $12 billion IWS follows the Russell MidCap Value Index and holds 631 stocks, none of which exceed weights of 0.90%, so its fair to say Beyond Meat doesn&#39;t dominate this fund. It doesn&#39;t. Not at <a href="https://www.ishares.com/us/products/239719/?referrer=tickerSearch">weight of 0.10%</a>, but the stock&#39;s residence in this ETF is still quixotic at best.
<h3>Vanguard Small-Cap Value ETF (VBR)</h3>
This is where things get really interesting. The Vanguard Small-Cap Value ETF (NYSE: <a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/vbr#NYSE">VBR</a>) is a fine fund, but for those who believe in small-cap territory ending in the $2 billion to $2.5 billion, VBR is a violator with a median market value of $4.2 billion, but even that&#39;s a far cry from Beyond Meat&#39;s $7.71 billion market value.
No matter how liberal the application of &ldquo;small cap&rdquo; is, it&#39;s hard to call Beyond Meat a small-cap stock, let alone one with the value designation. Yet somehow someway, VBR owns more shares of Beyond Meat (nearly 308,000) than any other ETF.

4 ETFs You Won't Believe Hold Beyond Meat Stock

Not quite as familiar as large-caps and often viewed as less sexy than small-caps, mid-cap stocks still offer plenty of opportunity.

	The proof is in the proverbial pudding.

	The SPDR S&amp;P 500 (NYSE: <a class="ticker" href="/stock/spy#NYSE">SPY</a>) is up 19.5 percent year-to-date, but that lags the returns offered by the Vanguard Mid-Cap ETF (NYSE: <a class="ticker" href="/stock/vo#NYSE">VO</a>), the iShares Core Mid-Cap ETF (NYSE: <a class="ticker" href="/stock/ijh#NYSE">IJH</a>) and the SPDR S&amp;P MidCap 400 ETF (NYSE: <a class="ticker" href="/stock/mdy#NYSE">MDY</a>).

	Those three funds are among the dominant names in mid-cap ETFs, but they are far from the only products in this cap genre worth considering. Just as many mid-cap stocks go overlooked, the same can be said of some mid-cap ETFs that have been solid performers this year.

	PowerShares S&amp;P MidCap Low Volatility Portfolio (NYSE: <a class="ticker" href="/stock/xmlv#NYSE">XMLV</a>) 
	Conservative investors have embraced low volatility large-cap ETFs in a big way, helping make the PowerShares S&amp;P 500 Low Volatility Portfolio (NYSE: <a class="ticker" href="/stock/splv#NYSE">SPLV</a>) <a href="http://www.benzinga.com/trading-ideas/long-ideas/13/04/3543255/king-of-low-vol-etfs-tops-5b-in-aum">one of the most successful ETFs</a> of any stripe to debut over the past two years.

	SPLV has small- and mid-cap cousins that came to market in February and the mid-cap play is the PowerShares S&amp;P MidCap Low Volatility Portfolio. XMLV operates in similar fashion to SPLV in that the mid-cap fund's holdings are culled from the 20 percent of an index's constituency with the lowest trailing 12-month volatility. XMLV's 80 holdings come by way of the S&amp;P MidCap 400 Index.

	The new mid-cap offering devotes nearly 77 percent of its combined weight to financial services and utilities names. Investors should also note small-cap growth and value names comprise a quarter of the fund's weight, <a href="http://www.invescopowershares.com/products/overview.aspx?ticker=XMLV">according to PowerShares data</a>. XMLV has annual fees of 0.25 percent and is up nearly 10 percent year-to-date.

	WisdomTree International MidCap Dividend Fund (NYSE: <a class="ticker" href="/stock/dim#NYSE">DIM</a>) 
	The WisdomTree International MidCap Dividend Fund can help investors kill three birds with one stone: Mid-cap and international exposure with a dividend kicker. Given the current market environment with U.S. stocks looking significantly more attractive than most other major developed markets, investors need to evaluate the pros and cons of this ETF.

	DIM does have a 3.1 percent 30-day SEC yield and Japan and is 19 percent of the fund's country weight. However, DIM is not a currency hedged ETF, leaving it vulnerable to a rising yen. The U.K., the next best developed dividend market <a href="http://www.benzinga.com/trading-ideas/long-ideas/13/07/3771457/royal-dividends-u-k-etfs-may-have-dividend-allure">in dollar terms after the U.S., is DIM's second-largest country weight at 15.6 percent.</a>

	Overall, nearly half of the 21 countries DIM offers exposure are eurozone members. That levers the ETF to a possible rebound in that region, but also the possibility of further economic retrenchment. Annual fee: 0.58 percent.

	iShares Russell Mid-Cap Value ETF (NYSE: <a class="ticker" href="/stock/iws#NYSE">IWS</a>) 
	The iShares Russell Mid-Cap Value ETF is by no means a small ETF. Nearly $5.2 billion in assets under management affirms as much, but IWS is not the most talked about ETF. The most recent coverage of IWS includes one analyst calling the ETF "dangerous." If year-to-date returns of over 18 percent are "dangerous" then what are one-year returns of 30.5 percent? Sort of safe?

	Fact: IWS is favorably exposed to two of this year's top-performing sectors. Financial services combine for 33.7 percent of the ETF's weight. Combine producer durables and discretionary names and consumer discretionary represents another 21 percent.

On a year-to-date basis, the SPDR S&amp;P MidCap 400 ETF (NYSE: <a class="ticker" href="/stock/mdy#NYSE">MDY</a>) has slightly outperformed the SPDR S&amp;P 500 (NYSE: <a class="ticker" href="/stock/spy#NYSE">SPY</a>) and S&amp;P Capital IQ says in a recent research note that mid-caps might have more upside while endorsing ETFs as a way for investors to get exposure to the mid-cap space.

The firm notes that Sam Stovall, Chief Equity Strategist for S&amp;P Capital IQ,believes that history suggests, but does not guarantee, that these stocks (mid-caps), as a group, have more room to run. Of the 400 companies that comprise the S&amp;P MidCap 400 Index, S&amp;P Capital IQ covers 245 of them, but has Buy or Strong Buy ratings on just 45.

In the research note, S&amp;P Capital IQ highlighted three ETFs, the WisdomTree MidCap Dividend ETF (NYSE: <a class="ticker" href="/stock/don#NYSE">DON</a>), the iShares Russell Midcap Value Index Fund (NYSE: <a class="ticker" href="/stock/iws#NYSE">IWS</a>) and the Vanguard Mid-Cap Value ETF (NYSE: <a class="ticker" href="/stock/voe#NYSE">VOE</a>). DON and IWS earned Marketweight ratings from S&amp;P, but the Vanguard Mid-Cap Value ETF earned an Overweight rating because four of the ETF's top-10 holdings are rated Buy by S&amp;P.

VOE is home to 262 stocks and $1.8 billion in assets under management. Financials account for 28.3% of the fund's weight. Consumer discretionary, technology, industrials and utilities names also receive double-digit allocations. With an expense ratio of 0.12%, VOE is cheaper than 91% of comparable funds, according to Vanguard's Web site.

The iShares Russell Midcap Value Index Fund is larger by assets ($3.1 billion) and holdings (527). Nearly a third of that ETF's weight is allocated to financials while utilities and consumer discretionary names combine for another 26%. Producer durable land an allocation of 10.15%.

The WisdomTree MidCap Dividend ETF has an expense ratio of 0.38%, making it the most expensive fund of the trio, but the fund has a 30-day SEC yield north of 3%. Financials figure more prominently into DON's sector mix with a weight of 38.5% while utilities, consumer discretionary and industrials also get double-digit allocations.

Year-to-date, VOE has outperformed the other ETFs highlighted in the S&amp;P research note, but MDY has outperformed VOE, IWS and DON by a decent margin. MDY has an expense ratio of 0.25% and over $10.2 billion in AUM.

Consider ETFs For Mid-Cap Exposure, S&P Says (MDY, DON, VOE)

U.S. retail sales rose 1.1% in February and, no pun intended, it was auto sales that drove the overall number higher. Last month, auto sales climbed 1.6% from January and surged almost 7% from February 2011. What's important about auto sales figures is that the numbers only measure cars sold to consumers, not to corporations or car rental outfits.

A rebounding U.S. economy has proven to be excellent news for the likes of Ford (NYSE: <a class="ticker" href="/stock/f#NYSE">F</a>) and General Motors (NYSE: <a class="ticker" href="/stock/gm#NYSE">GM</a>), but there are other ways to profit from <a href="http://www.benzinga.com/analyst-ratings/analyst-color/12/03/2409099/time-to-consider-auto-etfs-as-sales-rise-f-gm-vrom">resurgent auto sales</a>.

Here are the ETFs that could race higher as global auto sales continue their upward momentum.

Global X Auto ETF (NYSE: <a class="ticker" href="/stock/vrom#NYSE">VROM</a>)
The virtues of the Global X Auto ETF <a href="http://www.benzinga.com/trading-ideas/long-ideas/12/03/2412252/these-etfs-could-forecast-2012-election-results-iez-uga-vrom">have been extolled</a> one just needs to know where to look. While thinly traded, VROM is one of the better discretionary plays out there, having jumped more than 24% year-to-date almost double the returns offered by the Consumer Discretionary Select Sector SPDR (NYSE: <a class="ticker" href="/stock/xly#NYSE">XLY</a>).

Maybe the best reason to like VROM is that the ETF is not heavily allocated to just Ford and GM. Rather, VROM offers exposure to the German and Japanese auto giants and parts suppliers as well.

First Trust Germany AlphaDEX Fund (NYSE: <a class="ticker" href="/stock/fgm#NYSE">FGM</a>)
When it comes to Germany-specific ETFs, the iShares MSCI Germany Index Fund (NYSE: <a class="ticker" href="/stock/ewg#NYSE">EWG</a>) is the oldest and largest. When it comes to getting exposure to German automakers via an ETF, the newly minted First Trust Germany AlphaDEX Fund is the superior alternative. 

The auto industry is major part of the German economy and this is the world's second-largest exporter we're talking about, so if the global economy gains steam, FGM's weight to Volkswagen, Daimler, BMW, etc. could actually make the fund the top performer among Germany ETFs.

Consumer Discretionary Select Sector SPDR (NYSE: <a class="ticker" href="/stock/xly#NYSE">XLY</a>)
XLY is known for its allocations to stocks such as McDonald's (NYSE: <a class="ticker" href="/stock/mcd#NYSE">MCD</a>), Walt Disney (NYSE: <a class="ticker" href="/stock/dis#NYSE">DIS</a>) and Nike (NYSE: <a class="ticker" href="/stock/nke#NYSE">NKE</a>), among others, but Ford is one of the ETF's top-10 holdings. Beyond that, XLY is home to 80 stocks and when including Ford, 11 of those stocks are auto industry plays. Looking at XLY's chart, it would appear advisable to wait for a pullback, but with economic data supporting more gains in discretionary stocks, that pullback may not materialize.

iShares Russell Midcap Value Index Fund (NYSE: <a class="ticker" href="/stock/iws#NYSE">IWS</a>)
When an ETF is home to 530 stocks as the iShares Russell Midcap Value Index Fund is, no single stock or niche group is going to account for an excessive portion of the fund's weight. That's true with IWS, but the ETF does feature smaller allocations to an array of auto parts suppliers. IWS has been on a tear since late December 2011 and the chart indicates the ETF needs to crack $48.50 to confirm a breakout.

Financials account for almost a third of IWS' weight so the ETF could be in play <a href="http://www.benzinga.com/media/cnbc/12/03/2419748/beyond-xlf-4-stress-test-etfs-kbe-jpm-bac">for other reasons</a> as soon as this week.

Additionally, general economic uncertainty reared its head in the market, driving investors out of US equities for the week Because of this, all ETFs in the US Equity Style Trend table were down for the week.</div>

<div>Small cap ETFs were hit the hardest, as the iShares Russell 2000 Growth Index (IWO), the iShares Russell 2000 Index (IWM), and the iShares Russell 200 Value Index (IWN) all dropped over 3% in the past week. This follows traditional market behavior as small cap equties tend to react more harshly to swings in the market.</div>

<div>The iShares Russell Midcap Growth Index (IWP), down 1.63%, and the iShares Russell 1000 Growth Index (IWF), down 1.68%, were least effected by the downturn in the market. In the near future, mid to large cap equity ETFs will likely provide more stability and better gains than smaller ETFs as the market remains in flux and succesptible to turn on a variety of daily economic news. </div>

US Equities Fall as Economic Instability Continues

Small cap ETFs are generally made up of investments in companies with less than $1 billion in market capitalization. Small Cap Growth ETFs offer investors diversification throughout a wide range of industries and the potential for very high returns. At the same time, these ETFs tend to move up and down with the market and are subject to high levels of volatility.
US Small Cap Growth ETFs, represented by the iShares Russell 2000 Small Cap Growth Index ETF (IWO), continued to outperform other styles of US Equity Assets with a one week return of 2.66% and a trend score of 13.93%. Among US Small Cap Growth ETFs, the Vanguard Small Cap Growth ETF (VBK) has shown the most strength, returning 27.33% in the past year. US Small Cap Growth ETFs Continue Strong Gains

Large Cap Blend ETFs provide access to both growth and value stocks, looking for high returns while hedging that risk with more stable securities. Large Cap ETFs invest across the entire spectrum of the US market. Stocks in the top 70% of the capitalization of the US equity market are defined as large cap.

Among US Large Cap Blend ETFs the Ryder S&amp;P Equal Weight ETF (RSP) and the Vanguard Total Stock Market ETF (VTI) have performed the strongest, offering one-year returns of 18.18% and 17.54% respectively. The ETF in the sector with the highest level of average volume, the SPDR S&amp;P 500 Index, returned 15.13% in the past year, near the middle of the pack.
While US Large Cap Blend ETFs have provided investors with strong returns in recent periods, many in the market believe that the sector is due for a retraction based on overheated valuations. For the time being, investors will likely find better returns elsewhere.

Vanguard launched nine new ETFs on September 9, 2010 targeting the style-box matrix based on S&amp;P indexes with growth, value, and blend versions of the large cap S&amp;P 500, the S&amp;P Mid-Cap 400, and the S&amp;P Small-Cap 600.  All will compete with existing SPDRs and iShares products based on the same indexes.
Some analysts may brush these off as “me too” products, but Vanguard knows how to play “me too” better than anyone.  Most Vanguard products on the market fit this description, yet the company has quietly entrenched itself as the third largest ETF provider with more than $110 billion in assets.
Vanguard introduced its first two ETFs in 2001, then sat quietly until January 2004 when it introduced 14 new funds.  Only a licensing disagreement kept the 2004 batch from tracking S&amp;P indexes.  So Vanguard brought them out based on MSCI indexes.
Now, 34 years after the introduction of the <a href="https://personal.vanguard.com/us/funds/snapshot?FundId=0040&amp;FundIntExt=INT" target="_blank">Vanguard 500 Index Fund</a> (<a class="ticker" href="/stock/vfinx#">VFINX</a>), the ETF version has arrived.  According to a <a href="https://personal.vanguard.com/us/insights/article/fund-announcement-09092010" target="_blank">Vanguard article</a>, the new Vanguard S&amp;P 500 ETF (VOO) features an expense ratio of 0.06%, the lowest expense ratio in the industry for an ETF based on the S&amp;P 500 Index or any other large-capitalization domestic benchmark.  All nine of the new ETFs are eligible for commission-free trading by Vanguard brokerage clients.  The new ETFs:

</ul>
Expense ratios are not the only factor when choosing between ETFs tracking identical indexes.  Other consideration include commissions, dividend payment policies, liquidity, and tracking error:
<ul>
<li>Commissions: the Vanguard ETFs are commission-free for clients of Vanguard and the iShares ETFs listed above are commission-free for clients of Fidelity.  Investors using other firms and anyone trading the SPDR ETFs will have to pay standard brokerage commissions.</li>
<li>Dividend Payment Policy: Vanguard and iShares typically follow the “industry best practice” of paying dividends within four business days of the ex-dividend date.  SPDR has one of the most egregious dividend policies of any ETF sponsor by <a href="http://investwithanedge.com/spy-taking-shareholder-money-via-dividend-float" target="_blank">delaying dividend payments from SPDR S&amp;P 500 (<a class="ticker" href="/stock/spy#">SPY</a>) up to six weeks</a>.</li>
<li>Liquidity: SPY wins the liquidity argument hands down as it typically accounts for <a href="http://investwithanedge.com/etf-stats-for-august-2010-36-7-of-dollar-volume-went-to-spy" target="_blank">more than a third of all ETF dollar volume</a> every month.  The nine competitive products from iShares are all in the top 20% of all ETFs for average dollar volume and assets under management.  The new Vanguard products have some catching up to do in this regard, but based on the success of their other products, this should not be a significant disadvantage for too long.</li>
<li>Tracking Error: The S&amp;P indexes are well understood and all three firms have extensive experience managing products based on them.  The new ETFs will likely own all stocks in the index being tracked and not rely on sampling techniques.  Therefore, any tracking error is likely to be insignificant.</li>
</ul>
When I first saw the ticker symbols for the new Vanguard ETFs, I thought they were just a hodge-podge of letters with Vs and Gs stuck on the end to distinguish Value from Growth.  Then someone pointed out that the letters on the front are derivatives of roman numerals: V for 5 and VOO for S&amp;P 500, IV for 4 and IVOO for S&amp;P 400, VI for 6 and VIOO for S&amp;P 600.  I have them memorized already.

Vanguard Declares War in Fight for Broad Market ETF Supremacy

With the majority of third quarter earnings entered into the record books, the pullback came on nascent dollar strength, a key rate increase in Australia, higher energy costs and mixed economic reports.  Small (IJK) and Mid-Caps (IWS), Financials (XLF) and Materials (XLB) led the retreat, while Energy (XLE) and Consumer Staples (XLP) were able to eek out positive returns.  Ten days into the decline, traders in early November will be looking to the FOMC and the monthly jobs report to put the rally back on track.

October 2009 Rewind - A Stop in the Road

NASHUA, NH--(Marketwire - August 10, 2009) - Ezenia! Inc. (OTCBB: EZEN), a leading market 
provider of real-time collaboration solutions for corporate and government 
networks, today reported its financial results for the second quarter ended 
June 30, 2009.

Revenue was approximately $907,000 for the second quarter of 2009 and $1.9 
million for the six months ended June 30, 2009, a decrease of 47.8% and 
46.6% from the same periods ended June 30, 2008, respectively. Loss of 
intelligence community (IC) and Department of Defense (DOD) revenue, due 
primarily to redirections in legacy collaborative solution selections, 
continues to impact our annual subscription revenue.

Operating results yielded losses of approximately $1.0 million for the 
second quarter and $1.9 million for the six months ended June 30, 2009, 
compared to losses of $920,000 and $1.5 million for the same periods in 
2008, respectively. Operating costs declined to approximately $1.5 million 
for the second quarter and $3.0 million for the first half of the year 
ended June 30, 2009, compared to $2.0 million and $3.7 million for the same 
periods ended June 30, 2008, respectively. The decline in spending, 
virtually across the board, was attributed to reductions in employee 
related compensation costs, consulting expenses, supplies, occupancy and 
depreciation.

Net losses were approximately $964,000, or ($0.07) per share, for the 
second quarter and $1.9 million, or ($0.13) per share, for the first half 
of the year ended June 30, 2009, as compared to net losses of approximately 
$883,000, or ($0.06) per share, and $1.4 million, or ($0.10) per share, for 
the same periods in 2008, respectively.

"The disappointing shortfall in revenue this quarter and for the first half 
of the year is directly attributed to the booking shortfalls from key 
accounts and procurement difficulties that we continue to face, due to the 
previously established DISA sponsored selection programs," noted Mr. Khoa 
Nguyen, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Ezenia!. "Even with this 
decline in revenue and lack of income, we were able to preserve cash to 
approximately $6.4 million for the six months ended June 30, 2009 from $6.7 
million for the year ended December 31, 2008, a drop of less than 5%." Mr. 
Nguyen further noted, "The preservation of cash was mostly due to the 
collection of receivable balances and continued efforts to reduce expenses. 
The Company continues to focus on containing operating expense control, 
seek new sales opportunities both in traditional markets and adjacent 
markets, and foster new relationships with strategic resellers and system 
integrators. More recently, we have set up a Board of Advisors with 
distinguished members to help the Company in this endeavor. We are striving 
to preserve cash and return to profitability as expeditiously as possible, 
while balancing prudent investments against tight expense control."

Ezenia! Inc. Announces 2009 Second Quarter Financial Results

NASHUA, NH--(Marketwire - August 10, 2009) - Ezenia! Inc. (OTCBB: EZEN), a leading market 
provider of real-time collaboration solutions for corporate and government 
networks, today reported its financial results for the second quarter ended 
June 30, 2009.

Revenue was approximately $907,000 for the second quarter of 2009 and $1.9 
million for the six months ended June 30, 2009, a decrease of 47.8% and 
46.6% from the same periods ended June 30, 2008, respectively. Loss of 
intelligence community (IC) and Department of Defense (<a href="/stock/dod">DOD</a>) revenue, due 
primarily to redirections in legacy collaborative solution selections, 
continues to impact our annual subscription revenue.

Operating results yielded losses of approximately $1.0 million for the 
second quarter and $1.9 million for the six months ended June 30, 2009, 
compared to losses of $920,000 and $1.5 million for the same periods in 
2008, respectively. Operating costs declined to approximately $1.5 million 
for the second quarter and $3.0 million for the first half of the year 
ended June 30, 2009, compared to $2.0 million and $3.7 million for the same 
periods ended June 30, 2008, respectively. The decline in spending, 
virtually across the board, was attributed to reductions in employee 
related compensation costs, consulting expenses, supplies, occupancy and 
depreciation.

Net losses were approximately $964,000, or ($0.07) per share, for the 
second quarter and $1.9 million, or ($0.13) per share, for the first half 
of the year ended June 30, 2009, as compared to net losses of approximately 
$883,000, or ($0.06) per share, and $1.4 million, or ($0.10) per share, for 
the same periods in 2008, respectively.

"The disappointing shortfall in revenue this quarter and for the first half 
of the year is directly attributed to the booking shortfalls from key 
accounts and procurement difficulties that we continue to face, due to the 
previously established DISA sponsored selection programs," noted Mr. <a href="/stock/k">K</a>hoa 
Nguyen, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Ezenia!. "Even with this 
decline in revenue and lack of income, we were able to preserve cash to 
approximately $6.4 million for the six months ended June 30, 2009 from $6.7 
million for the year ended December 31, 2008, a drop of less than 5%." Mr. 
Nguyen further noted, "The preservation of cash was mostly due to the 
collection of receivable balances and continued efforts to reduce expenses. 
The Company continues to focus on containing operating expense control, 
seek new sales opportunities both in traditional markets and adjacent 
markets, and foster new relationships with strategic resellers and system 
integrators. More recently, we have set up a Board of Advisors with 
distinguished members to help the Company in this endeavor. We are striving 
to preserve cash and return to profitability as expeditiously as possible, 
while balancing prudent investments against tight expense control."
