10 Valuable Burger King Collectible Toys

When you were a kid, you didn’t realize how much of a deal you got with a King Jr. Meal. You ate and you played, and now, you might be able to cash in on a valuable Burger King toy.

1. PokéBall Series Toys

In 1999, Burger King handed out a series of toys in PokéBalls to promote the release of “Pokémon: The First Movie.” The 57 toys in the series were a hit. However, the container holding the toys became a potential hazard for suffocation if placed over the nose and mouth, and Burger King recalled the toys after an infant’s death. Full sets of the 57 toys sold for $398.34 to $531.11 on eBay during the first half of 2025.

2. Super Mario Nintendo Wii U Promotion

When Nintendo released the Wii U in 2012, Burger King promoted the system with a 10-piece Super Mario toy set, including characters, mini-games made to look like Nintendo gamepads, a mustache maker and sheets of stickers. The set included Mario, Luigi, Super Mario Chuckin’ Shell, Super Mario Cloud Racers, Barrel Down Donkey Kong, Diddy Kong’s Link Up and more. A set has fetched $75 on eBay.

3. Toy Story Collectible Set

Woody, Buzz Lightyear, Slinky Dog and Hamm filled the big screen in 1996, and Burger King helped Disney promote the movie franchise by making sure you could take your “Toy Story” and “Toy Story 2” collectibles to go. A full set of eight characters from the first movie was selling for $30 on Etsy in October.

4. Scooby Doo Movies Toys

Burger King supported the Scooby Doo movies “Scooby Doo and the Alien Invaders” and “Scooby Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed” with toys given away in King Jr. Meals. You can find the latest from the Mystery Inc. gang this Halloween. Prices for a full set from a movie or for Halloween ranged from $25 to $140 on eBay in October.

5. Rugrats

From November 1998 through June 2003, Burger King offered Rugrats toys to promote movies, including “The Rugrats Movie” in 1998, “Rugrats in Paris: The Movie” in 2000 and “Rugrats Gone Wild” in 2003. The fast-food franchise also introduced the Rugrats to King Jr. Meals in March 1998 and offered a couple of series of toy watches and the Rugrats Treehouse, interspersed with movie promotions. Rugrats action figures can go for as low as $5 on eBay, and the Rugrats Treehouse was offered in October at $89.

6. Universal Studios Monsters Set

In 1997, Burger King released a set of four action figures that remain among the most rare Burger King toys that collectors seek for their quality. The Universal Studios Monsters (Frankenstein’s Monster, Dracula, the Wolfman and the Creature from the Black Lagoon) each came with unique actions or features and glow-in-the-dark stickers.

Dracula has his coffin, Frankenstein’s Monster has a laboratory table and translucent head that glows, the Creature squirts water and the Wolfman can leap out of a crate. A set sold recently on eBay for $70.

7. The Simpsons Movie Set

Released in 2007, “The Simpsons Movie” toy set features 16 characters from the movie and beloved television show, with a special edition golden Homer. With a push of the button on the back of each character, the character delivers one recorded phrase. For example, Marge Simpson says, “Oh, Homie.” In October, a seller offered a set on eBay for $85.

8. Star Wars: Episode III: Revenge of the Sith Toys

To promote “Star Wars: Episode III: Revenge of the Sith” in 2005, Burger King released a collection of 31 toys that appealed to a range of interests. The collection features action figures, ships and playsets. The most popular are the action figures of Anakin Skywalker, General Grievous and Yoda. The Jedi Starfighter and Jedi Temple were among the ships and playsets available. In October, a full set was selling for $75 on eBay.

9. The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie Toys

Burger King teamed up with Nickelodeon and Paramount Pictures to release 12 characters promoting “The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie” in 2004. Each character offered different actions or activities, from SpongeBob recording and playing back your voice to a square dancing SpongeBob to a karate-chopping Sandy. The set also came with a four-page brochure. Three of the SpongeBob figures were on eBay in October for $12.60.

10. Gold-Plated Pokémon Cards

Collaborating with Nintendo in 1999, Burger King released a set of six 23-karat gold-plated Pokémon cards in cases. The card featured a Pokémon character (Pikachu, Togepi, Charizard, Jigglypuff, Mewtwo or Poliwhirl) on the front and information about the character on the back.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q

Do Burger King toys have any value?

A

Yes, some Burger King toys have monetary value, especially toys that are rare and in good condition or are part of a complete set. Examples of sets include 10 to 12 figures from gold-plated Pokémon cards from 1999, the Universal Studios Monsters in 1997 and The Simpsons from 2001.

Q

How do I know if my toys are worth money?

A

To learn if your toys are worth money, assess the toy’s rarity, condition and demand. Toys can draw higher prices if they were from a limited production or exclusive collection; are in boxed, mint or excellent condition; or are in demand on auction sites, such as eBay.

Q

Why did Burger King stop doing toys?

A

After petitions from two girls in Hampshire, England, Burger King chose to stop offering toys with its King Jr. meals in 2019 to help reduce waste from single-use plastic. Burger King dropped plastic toys from its menu and even set up bins in stores to collect plastic toys for recycling, although special promotion toys, such as Naruto-themed toys released in 2025 in Brazil, sometimes appear.
