TSMC's unconsolidated sales for the period came in at T$34.04 billion ($1.16 billion), versus T$34.42 billion in the year-ago period and T$30.57 billion in the previous month.

NYSE Euronext's quarterly net profit declined to $110 million, from $135 million, in the year-ago period. Its revenue surged to $628 million from $613 million.
The International Energy Agency cut its target for 2012 global oil demand growth.
The International Energy Agency lowered oil demand growth forecast to 800,000 barrels a day, versus its earlier outlook of 1.1 million barrels a day. It now projects global GDP growth of 3.3% for 2012, versus 4.0% level assumed since September.
Total SA (NYSE: TOT) reported a rise in its Q4 net income.
Total's quarterly adjusted net income came in at EUR2.73 billion, up from EUR2.56 billion in the year-ago period. However, analysts were expecting net income of EUR2.72 billion.

Barclays' full-year net attributable profit dropped to 3 billion pounds ($4.75 billion), from GBP3.56 billion in 2010. Its net interest income declined to GBP12.2 billion from GBP12.52 billion.
Compagnie Generale des Etablissments Michelin (OTC: MGDDY) lifted its operating income forecast for 2015 to EUR2.5 billion.
Michelin's sales volumes climbed 6.7%. Its operating profit climbed 14.7% to EUR1.94 billion, versus EUR1.70 billion in 2011. Its revenue surged 15.8% to EUR20.72 billion from EUR17.89 billion.
Alcatel-Lucent SA (NYSE: ALU) posted a profit in 2011.
Alcatel-Lucent's profit for the period came in at EUR1.1 billion, versus a year-ago loss of EUR334 million. Its sales dropped 2.1% to EUR15.33 billion from EUR15.67 billion.
Alcatel-Lucent shares closed at $1.94 yesterday.
Asahi Group Holdings Ltd (OTC: ASBRY) reported a 3.8% rise in its net profit for the year ended December 31.
Asahi's net profit for the period climbed to Y55.09 billion, from a year-ago profit of Y53.08 billion. Its sales fell 1.8% to Y1.463 trillion versus Y1.489 trillion, while operating profit surged 12% to Y107.19 billion.
Japan's Kirin Holdings Co (OTC: KNBWY) reported a 35% drop in its net profit for the business year ended December 31.
Kirin's net profit for the period declined to Y7.41 billion, from a year-ago profit of Y11.39 billion. Its sales dropped 4.9% to Y2.072 trillion from Y2.178 trillion. Its operating profit fell 5.8% to Y142.86 billion from Y151.61 billion.
Indian factory activity growth slowed in December.
Indian industrial output rose 1.8% y/y in December, versus 5.9% growth in November. However, analysts were expecting a 3.4% expansion.
India's industrial production in the April-to-December period climbed 3.6% y/y, versus a 7.8% growth in the year-ago period.
