BlackBerry Up 15%, Highest Level Since December

BlackBerry Ltd BBRY shares are trading higher by $1.06 at $8.01 in Friday's session.

The catalyst for the 15 percent rally is Q4 EPS of $0.04 compared to ($0.03) in the same quarter last year. Adjusted sales came in at $297 million.

After a higher open, Blackberry's stock had only a $0.06 retreat to $7.47 before continuing its move higher. It has continued to make new highs for the session with the current one standing at $8.08 as of 10:06 a.m. ET.

That marks the highest level for the stock since it peaked at $8.05 on December 20. It should be noted that was the day of its Q3 report, when it faded off the $8.00 level to end the session at $7.50.

It hasn't closed over $8.00 since December 20, when it ended that session at $8.33.
