Dave & Buster's Entertainment, Inc. PLAY shares are trading higher by $3.59 (8.5 percent) at $45.45 in Wednesday's session. The catalyst for the rally is a Q1 beat of $0.13 with a $11 million beat for revenues. Also, the company raised FY 2016 revenues and initiated a $100 million share buyback plan.
After a sharply higher open ($44.50 vs. Tuesday's close of $41.86), it had a brief pullback to $44.02 before resuming its move higher.
It has far surpassed its former all-time high of $43.35, so far reaching $45.70 and is not far off that level.
