Tiffany & Co. TIF shares are trading higher by $1.55 at $71.67 in Friday's session. The Street is focusing on its Q4 beat of $0.06 with inline revenues instead of the announcement that the company expects EPS to fall in Q1.
After a higher open, it retreated and found support just above Thursday's close ($70.12), only reaching $70.36 before continuing its move higher. It went on to make a new high for the move, surpassing the former high ($72.39), reaching $72.90. That is just shy of its January 7 high ($73.18).
At this time, it has been unable to hold on to those gains and has fallen back into the mid-$71 handle.
