You'd think with the rare earth stocks running like their pants were on fire, that it would lift all the names in the sector. Not Avalon Rare Metals Inc.

having strong runs today, AVL is actually down on the day. This is never a good sign when stocks in your sector are making big runs and you are down. Shareholders would be wise to keep an eye on this name. There's the possibility it could be waiting to make its run, but that doesn't seem like a likely probability to me. Perhaps shorting AVL here would be a huge boon, as these names will eventually come back down to Earth (pun intended), and when they do I would expect Avalon to be hit harder than the others based off today's nonaction.
