The LikeFolio Top50 keeps an eye on the companies behind the brands & products that people are talking about most on Twitter.  In other words, this ranking of social volume tells us which companies are the makers of the most popular consumer brands in the world.

From #31-40 can be a really interesting section because it will often contain companies that are relatively new with some old-guard, well-established brands.

From the LikeFolio app, here are the #31-#40 stocks in the LikeFolio top 50, ranked by number of qualified brand mentions on Twitter.

Breaking it down

Just like in yesterdays' look at #41-50, this section contains some really interesting info on automotive transportation.

Honda Motor Co Ltd (ADR) HMC takes the #32 spot with some extremely positive sentiment (98% positive) and massive gains in purchase intent over the past two months.  In fact, Honda may be the most impressive company in the LikeFolio universe right now!

Lyft making the list is extremely interesting, as only a few private companies have done so (its competitor Uber is higher in the rankings).  The massive deal with GM that they just announced is positioning Lyft in unique territory as a self-driving automotive solution and potential IPO in late 2016.

Outside of autos, it's fun to see Hasbro, Inc. HAS cracking into the top-40 after initially making our Top50 list just a few months ago (and Mattel nowhere to be found.)  On the negative side, however, Hasbro is seeing fairly weak social sentiment for a game and toy maker, and purchase intent volume didn't get the kind of holiday boost we're used to seeing from the company.

Paypal Holdings INC PYPL and DineEquity Inc DIN have been stable in the top 40 for quite a while, and we're keeping a very close eye on Foot Locker, Inc. FL as it continues to ascend the list and garner more consumer attention with very little fanfare.

These companies are on the edge… household names but not quite brand behemoths.  Which ones will break out and which will fail… that's what we'll be watching as we look for fantastic opportunities again in 2016.
