Silver Lake Partners is said to be prepared to offer as much as $15 per share for Dell DELL, according to a report from Deal Reporter. Various investors have been mentioned as potential participants in a Dell deal, including Microsoft MSFT. Bloomberg first reported the possible Dell LBO on January 14, and the next day, CNBC's David Faber reported a deal could be made at $13.50 to $14.00 per share. Spokespersons for Dell and Silver Lake declined comment on the report. Dell closed at $13.25 Tuesday, a gain of 1.5% on 3 times average volume. OpenTable to Acquire Foodspotting for $10M in Cash The Deal:
OpenTable OPEN announced Tuesday that it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Foodspotting, an app for finding and sharing great dishes at restaurants, for approximately $10 million in cash pursuant to a stock purchase agreement. The completion of the acquisition is subject to the satisfaction of customary closing conditions. OpenTable closed at $54.87 Tuesday, a gain of $0.49 on lower than average volume.
