GSI Technology

Shares of GSI Technology (NASDAQ: GSIT), the Sunnyvale, CA provider of high-performance SRAM products for networking and telecommunications equipment, rose 27.62% Thursday on 9 times average volume.

GSI Technology reported Thursday that Chief Administrative Law Judge Charles E. Bullock issued his initial determination in the patent litigation between GSI and Cypress Semiconductor Corp. pending before the International Trade Commission.

In his initial determination, issued on October 25, 2012, Judge Bullock held that the importation of GSI's SRAM products, and products containing them, and the sale within the United States of such products, have not violated applicable federal law with respect to any of the four patents that Cypress had alleged were infringed. Detailed findings in support of Judge Bullock's determination have not yet been released.

GSI Technology closed at $5.73 on Thursday.

Perion Network

Perion Network (NASDAQ: PERI), the Tel Aviv provider of communications, photo and security software, rose 5.944% Thursday on 3 times average volume.

Perion Network announced Thursday that it will release its financial results for the third quarter ended September 30, 2012, on November 1, 2012 prior to the opening of the market. Management will host a conference call to discuss the results at 10:00am ET that day.

Perion Network closed at $7.31 on Thursday.

Chelsea Therapeutics

Shares of Chelsea Therapeutics (NASDAQ: CHTP), the Charlotte, NC development-stage pharmaceutical company, rose 28.03% Thursday on 10 times average volume.

Chelsea Therapeutics was the subject of a positive Seeking Alpha article on Thursday.

Chelsea Therapeutics closed at $1.69 on Thursday.
