Alexza Pharmaceuticals announced Thursday that it had received a Complete Response Letter from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration regarding its New Drug Application for ADASUVE (loxapine) inhalation powder, 5 mg and 10 mg. The CRL was issued by FDA's Center for Drug Evaluation and Research indicating that the NDA review cycle is complete and the application is not ready for approval in its present form. ADASUVE is being developed for the acute treatment of agitation associated with schizophrenia or bipolar I disorder in adults. Alexza Pharmaceuticals closed at $0.49 on Friday.

, the Azusa, CA developer of skin care products, rose 22% Friday on 17 times the average daily volume. Physicians Formula Holdings released its 10Q on Friday. Net sales increased $5.1 million, or 24.0%, to $26.2 million for the three months ended March 31, 2012 from $21.1 million for the three months ended March 31, 2011. These results were driven by an increase in gross sales of $5.7 million, which was partially offset by an increase in trade spending of $441,000 and an increase in the returns provision of $195,000. The increase in gross sales was due to higher sales of color cosmetics and the expanded distribution of the skin care line. Physicians Formula Holdings closed at $3.79 on Friday.

Shares of Intelligent Living Corp. (ILVC), the Vancouver, BC provider of green building and automation solutions, rose 116% Friday on 19 times the average daily volume. Intelligent Living Corp. announced Friday the latest of its technological innovations with "touch & control," ILVC's smart phone SMART HOME app that allows the user to seamlessly monitor and control the functions of their SMART HOME systems from anywhere using either iPhone or Android phone platforms. ILVC's SMART HOME integrated technology provides wireless control of the user's home. The features that can be controlled include: lighting, HVAC heating and cooling, home security, door locks, garage doors, audio and video media, sprinkler systems, window coverings, as well as other appliances. Preset timers and monitors can alert the homeowner of changes in use as well as notifications of security issues, all delivered via text message and graphic interface directly to an iPhone or Android phone. ILVC has completed testing and is rapidly moving toward public availability of its latest product innovation. Intelligent Living Corp. closed at $0.20 on Friday.
