I ran a quick screen looking for value stocks today. The metrics that I used were NYSE and NASDAQ listed stocks that had a market capitalization over $1 billion, a P/E ratio of less than 10, a price to book ratio of less than 1.2, a price to cash flow ratio of less than 9 and a dividend yield of greater than 3%. A total of 17 stocks fit into these parameters. The ones which I have included here are companies that I am at least partially familiar with, and look interesting at current levels. Vodafone Group
VOD
: This stock has gained 8.73% in the last 6 months and still offers tremendous value and a dividend yield of 7.36%. Vodafone is a partial owner of Verizon Wireless. The company has a market cap of $124.85 billion and trades at a trailing P/E of 9.25. I have talked to a number of value oriented investors who like this stock. ENSCO PLC
ESV
: Value investor and noted hedge fund manager David Einhorn added this name to his Greenlight Capital portfolio last quarter. He bought nearly 7.5 million shares valued at a little over $290,000,000. Ensco plc, is an offshore contract drilling company. Sanofi-Aventis
SNY
: Warren Buffett owns a chunk of this pharma giant. His stake is valued at a little more than $122 million. SNY trades at a trailing P/E of just 9.77. The stock's dividend yield is currently a very healthy 5.03%. SUPERVALU
SVU
: Stock has been beat up in 2010, falling 18.5% to $10.35. Look for SVU's compelling valuation to provide support going forward. Trades at a trailing P/E of 6.34 and yields 3.38% at current levels.
