Bokados Builds Plant in Queretaro

QUERETARO, Mexico--(BUSINESS WIRE)--

Arca Continental, S.A.B. de C.V. ("Arca Continental" or "the Company") AC, the second largest Coca-Cola bottler in Latin America, announced yesterday to the state authorities of Queretaro that it is opening its third snacks production plant for Bokados, as part of its strategic plan to expand its brand presence and coverage throughout Mexico.

After presenting the project to Francisco Dominguez Servien, the Governor of Queretaro, Raymundo Garcia, Bokados General Manager, informed that the new plant, located in the municipality of El Marques, will require an investment of nearly Ps. 300 million to reach an installed capacity of 16 thousand tons per year upon completion. It will have 7 production lines and create 150 direct jobs and approximately 600 indirect jobs.

Governor Dominguez Servien highlighted the logistical advantages his State offers.

The new plant is expected to initiate operations during the first quarter of 2017.
