‘Blueview Island' intertwines adolescent friendships with a haunting mystery

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (PRWEB) October 03, 2016

A 14-year-old from Nashville has just published her first book from the young adult series she has created. Jacqueline Frist's debut novel, "Blueview Island," is an enchanting tale that merges strong adolescent friendships with the overarching mystique of an island's haunting secrets.

Frist wrote her novel to demonstrate how the power of young minds can yield great things – including writing a book. Inspired by a friend who also began writing in her early teens, Frist started composing "Blueview Island" at age 12, completed it by 13 and published it by 14.

Having more in mind than a picturesque summer shared by a band of young friends, Frist said, "The book is an escape from reality. It transports you to a world in which the power of friendship and curiosity can triumph over perilous circumstances."

Readers are first introduced to protagonist, Jayce, and his twin sister, Terri, as they approach their summer vacation destination: Blueview Island. The duo becomes fast friends with another group of island visitors. But when Jayce, Terri and their group of newfound companions stumble upon some of the island's haunting secrets, their trip takes a bizarre turn.

The portrayal of young adult themes and fantastical happenings will keep readers refreshed, riveted and ready to continue the series journey.
