Dermatology Associates Announces the Acquisition of 2 Texas Practices

Dermatology Associates, Texas's largest Dermatology practice, acquires practices in Austin and Dallas, Texas.

Dermatology Associates is pleased to announce that it recently completed the acquisitions of Capitol Dermatology and Dr. Jerold Michaelson Dermatology. The transactions closed in September 2016.

Dr. Hans Sander has practiced dermatology in Texas for more than 25 years, and founded Capitol Dermatology in Austin, TX in 1999. Dr. Sander earned his medical degree from Texas A&M University, and completed his internal medicine and dermatology residencies at Scott and White Memorial Hospital in Temple, TX, and the Mayo Graduate School of Medicine in Rochester, MN, respectively. Dr. Sander is certified by both the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Dermatology, and is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians.

Dr. Jerold Michaelson has practiced dermatology in Texas since 1974, and is certified by the American Board of Dermatology. He currently practices in North Dallas at the Presbyterian Hospital Medical Office Building. Dr. Michaelson received his medical degree from University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, TX, and completed his residency in dermatology from Jackson Memorial Hospital and Baylor College of Medicine Affiliated Hospitals in Miami, FL, and Houston, TX, respectively.
