Labor Day is just around the corner, and to celebrate, Redfin (www.redfin.com), the next-generation real estate brokerage, released a list of the 10 best cities for boaters. With help from Discover Boating, Redfin determined which regions have the most waterfront property for sale, the longest boating seasons, the largest boating communities and more.
According to Discover Boating, more than four in five Americans say being around water relaxes them, and an estimated 87 million Americans go boating each year. Boaters should always talk to a real estate agent before diving in to waterfront homeownership.
Based on the Redfin report, here are the top 10 best regions to live and play on the water:
1. Naples, Florida
2. Baton Rouge, Louisiana
3. Jacksonville,
Florida
4. Orlando, Florida
5. Edison, New Jersey
6.
Atlanta, Georgia
7. Hampton Roads, Virginia
8. Chicago,
Illinois
9. Boston, Massachusetts
10. Seattle, Washington
