Cloudswave Releases Its Seasonal Rankings of the Best Accounting Software for Q1 of 2016

Cloudswave's rankings for best accounting software list Xero, Intacct, and Quicken in the top three spots respectively.

As one of the leading business application marketplaces, Cloudswave is pleased to share its seasonal rankings of the Top 10 Best Accounting Software solutions.

Xero led the pack with an impressive score of 88, while Intacct and Quicken followed up with scores of 87 and 86 for second and third spot, respectively.

The ranking is based on the Cloudswave Score, a weighted average score that captures the essence of multiple critic reviews into one number. It takes into account various metrics, such as the date of the review, quality of the review source, as well as the total number of reviews. It's "Metacritic's Metascore" for Business Software. The ranking aims to help businesses of all sizes navigate the challenging landscape of choosing accounting software.

According to Cloudswave's CEO and Cofounder, Reda Sedrati, "The advantages of using latest accounting software are numerous. After all, each has their own unique set of features to offer. Perhaps the biggest advantage of all is that, for the first time ever, it's designed to be simple-to-use for non-accountants. Xero, an accounting solution that provides businesses with accurate financial data, received 89 critic reviews of which 98% are favorable. The cloud financial management and accounting system, Intacct, received 191 critic reviews. Although all the reviews were positive, the software lacks a bit in terms of features, and thus denying it the top spot. Quicken, the number one finance software, received 160 critic reviews, all positive, but reported sync issues and lack of new features meant it was sealing the third spot in the rankings.

Also were part of the Top 10 ranking: FreshBooks, QuickBooks, Bill.com, BillFaster, FreeAgent, Saasu, and Sage 50 Accouting.
