DALLAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--

Paul Cones, founder of Courthouse Specialists, will be the guest speaker at the luncheon meeting of the Women's Energy Network (WEN) – North Texas Chapter on Thursday, January 7, 2016, at the Fort Worth Petroleum Club, 777 Main Street #4000. Tanis Cornell, Dallas owner of EWF International and founder of TJC Consulting, will be the guest speaker at the luncheon meeting of WEN – North Texas on Tuesday, January 19, 2016, at the Dallas Petroleum Club, 2200 Ross Avenue. Registration for both events will begin at 11:30 a.m. followed by the luncheon from noon-1:00 p.m.

Mr. Cones will present a talk titled, "Land Title Evaluation – Changing an Industry with Technology," at the January Fort Worth luncheon. A question-and-answer session will follow his presentation.

Mr. Cones founded Courthouse Specialists (predecessor to CourthouseDirect.com) in 1982. Previously, he worked as a Petroleum Landman negotiating and acquiring oil and gas leases in central and south Texas. Mr. Cones implements technology solutions for the abstracting and title industry by creating databases and document delivery systems now used by most surveyors, engineers, attorneys, appraisers and other real estate professionals in Texas.

CourthouseDirect.com was the first company to provide a County Grantor/Grantee index on the Internet in 1997. Mr. Cones is also the founder of several other real estate related companies including Able Permits, Integrity Title Company, LLC and Integrity Title Records, Ltd., LLP. Integrity Title Records used technology to provide affordable title plants for new entrants into the market, ending an industry monopoly which existed in Texas for over forty years. Integrity Title Records is now the largest title plant provider in Texas.

Mr. Cones has taught many courses and seminars on how to use public records effectively and was awarded the President's Award by the Texas Society of Professional Surveyors for his contributions to the surveying industry. His courses have been certified eligible for continuing education credits by the Texas Board of Professional Land Surveying.

"WEN North Texas is pleased to announce Mr. Paul Cones as the featured speaker to kick off our 2016 luncheons in Fort Worth," said Angela Walton, 2016 WEN North Texas Chapter President. "We look forward to learning how technology is changing the land title landscape in Texas."

Ms. Cornell will present a discussion titled, "Navigating the River of Career Success." A question-and-answer session will follow her presentation.

Ms. Cornell is the Dallas owner of EWF International where she leads and facilitates peer advisory forums for women business owners and executives. She is also the founder of TJC Consulting, a boutique consulting firm offering personalized assessments, leadership development, consulting, coaching and workshops that focus on developing and strengthening leadership skills, fostering teamwork, and increasing communication skills. She is a certified Lumina Learning practitioner, a writer and frequent public speaker, focused on helping leaders expand their career path, grow their businesses, increase their effectiveness, gain access to the skills and knowledge needed to excel, and meet their personal and professional goals.

Prior to starting her own business, Ms. Cornell held leadership positions in the information technology industry including serving as an equity partner and Board member of the private software company PhaseWare and holding an officer level position in the Fortune 1000 telecommunications company WilTel. She was a VP of sales for Level 3 Communications and led one of the largest service provider partnerships for Fortune 500 data management company NetApp.

Ms. Cornell sits on the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors for Tech Titans, the largest technology trade association in Texas. She serves on the Business Advisory Board for Martino Ventures, the Advisory Board for the Alliance of Women and Technology, and the Business Advisory Council for Oklahoma Christian University. She is also a mentor for the nationally known startup incubator Tech Wildcatters. She has previously served on the Board of Directors for Sales & Marketing Executives International, the Dale Rogers Training Center serving adults with mental disabilities, and the Red Cross.

"WEN North Texas is honored to welcome Ms. Tanis Cornell at the January 2016 Dallas luncheon," said Walton. "Our members will be sure to benefit from Ms. Cornell's leadership and development advice and expertise."
