David J. David J. Dykeman, patent attorney, co-chair of Greenberg Traurig's Global Life Sciences & Medical Technology Group, and co-chair of the firm's Intellectual Property (IP) Group in Boston, was appointed to a third term as co-chair of the Medical Devices Committee of the American Bar Association's (ABA) Science & Technology Law Section (SciTech). In addition, Dykeman will continue to serve as an ABA SciTech Section Council Member through 2018.

In 2012, Dykeman was named the founding co-chair of the newly formed Medical Devices Committee of the ABA's Section of Science & Technology Law Section, and continues to serve in this role today. The Medical Devices Committee focuses on the unique issues facing the medical device industry, particularly in light of patent reforms initiated by Congress, the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), and the Supreme Court, and the changing regulatory environment at the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

A registered patent attorney with nearly 20 years of experience in patents, intellectual property, and licensing, Dykeman focuses his practice on securing strategic worldwide intellectual property protection and related business strategy for high-tech clients, with particular expertise in life sciences, medical devices, biotechnology, and healthcare IT.
