Visioneering Studios Helps Community-based Church Move from Tent to Expansive Worship Center.

St. Charles. MO (PRWEB) August 29, 2015

Harvester Christian Church will finally move into its permanent home this Saturday. The church is unique for having grown into a "mega-church," serving thousands of congregants as well as the surrounding region, while meeting in a "temporary" tent structure for the last decade. The community-based church, with campuses in St. Charles and Troy, Mo., provides a food pantry for the area's most needy residents and is known for having hosted a recent funeral for a fallen firefighter.

They enlisted the services of Visioneering Studios, a leading nationally licensed real estate, architecture, and construction ministry started by former Disney Imagineers to make the new space a reality. The journey to the church's new home has been a long one.

"It has been a privilege to join Harvester Christian Church on their journey by helping to tell their story through the creation of this sacred space and community gathering place," says Mel McGowan, Founder and Chief Creative Officer of Visioneering Studios. "Pastor Brian Jobe is one of the rising young leaders in the American church and it has been a joy to collaborate with him and his leadership team."

With Saturday's official opening, the 3,400-plus members at Harvester will now have access to a 36,000-square-foot worship center, which features a 1,200 seat sanctuary designed for optimal views from every vantage point, and an immersive atmosphere created by world-class audio, video, and theatrical lighting systems. Church officials say the new building will serve as the hub for future campus renovations and expansion as they help people on their journey of faith.

The $10M building doesn't look much like a traditional church. Warm wood features and large sweeping curves visually extend an invitation to the entire community, including non-church members into this new heart of the community.

Church officials say they are pleased with the project's outcome. "We are so excited to be at this place in the history of Harvester Christian Church," said Brian Jobe, Harvester's Senior Pastor. "This building is a blessing… A ministry tool to help us fulfill our mission for Jesus in the community and all around the world. The gifted designers and builders at Visioneering continue to play a vital role in helping create the kind of sacred space that honors God and draws people to Him."

Visioneering Studios managed the project from dream to dedication.
