Real Estate Professional Richard Parr's Star Continues to Rise

Award-winning real estate professional Richard Parr, with Coldwell Banker United, Realtors, is slated to receive the Houston Association of Realtors NextGen Realtor Group (NGR) "20 Under Age 40 Rising Stars" accolade. This marks the sixth year the award has been given to 20 Houston Association of Realtors members 40 years of age or younger, that have demonstrated excellence in areas of sales, leadership and community involvement.

"I am deeply honored to have been recognized with my fellow colleagues who are also receiving this prestigious award," said Richard. "It's humbling to receive an award that is only given under the strictest of criteria and looks at so many areas than just simply
your overall production in your business."

When selecting finalists for the "20 Under 40 Rising Stars" award, the NGR considers several factors, not the least of which is business success. Community and professional leadership are also important factors. The NGR ensures it has a diverse group of finalists in terms of business niches, gender, cultural background and geographic location. Finally, it looks for compelling stories, such as interesting business strategies or obstacles overcome.

This year's winners will be featured on the cover of Houston Realtor Magazine in November, along with a feature article and information on each of the winners. The awards will be presented at a "Red Carpet" luncheon on September 24th at the Bayou City Event Center in Houston. "It should prove to be a very exciting day, and I'm very much looking forward to accepting the award with my co-workers who work hard in the trenches of our busy real estate market just as I do, day in and day out," said Richard. Richard has been a resident of Clear Lake, in Southeast Houston for over 35 years, and proudly calls the Clear Lake and League City areas of the Houston-metro his "prime places" of doing business, but has listed and sold homes all over the Houston area in the past, but mainly in the Bay Area (Southeast Houston).

In addition to the "20 Under Age 40 Rising Stars" award, Richard was recently named the No. 1 Sales Associate in Total Units for the Coldwell Banker United, Realtors in the Houston region, in terms of total units of sale in 2014, with 72 closed sales. He has also been ranked among the top 25 in the company in 2014 and received the award of International President's Elite from 2011-2014, which is an award given to the top 2% of Coldwell Banker sales associates worldwide.
