Coach Michael Woodson Hosted All-Star Guests for Ultimate VIP Weekend in Las Vegas to kick-off NBA Summer League

The 2nd annual Coach Woodson Las Vegas Invitational, the ultimate luxury weekend hosted by Assistant Clippers Coach Michael Woodson was a huge success, helping to raise money for Nations of Coaches. The event, co-hosted by ESPN SportsCenter Anchor, Jay Harris, Actor and Comedian Erik Griffin and Professional Golfer and Fashion Designer, Seema Sadekar, was held at The Palazzo® Las Vegas, with golf at Southern Highlands Golf Club, an exquisite Robert Trent Jones designed property.

"This event is so important to Nations of Coaches and what we are trying to do for young athletes in our communities, each student-athlete should have a chance for real success on and off the court," said Tommy Kyle Executive Director for Nations of Coaches. The three day event kicked off on Friday, July 10 with an educational basketball clinic presented by COX Communications that hosted junior participants who received hands-on coaching from the accomplished Coach Woodson along with NBA greats. Saturday, July 11, welcomed VIP guests to golf practice rounds presented by CASAMIGOS Tequila at Southern Highlands Golf Club and the Woodson Jacket Welcome Reception presented by ZACAPA Rum at the Paiza Lounge at The Venetian. On Sunday, Woodson hosted a Celebrity Skins Game presented by CASAMIGOS Tequila at Southern Highlands Golf Club followed by a Red Carpet and Pairings Party at LAVO, inside The Palazzo® Las Vegas.

On Monday, guests were treated to another round of golf at Southern Highlands where they were also able to experience the first ever Woodson Playoff sponsored by the LA Clippers, comprised of the top three celebrities from the winning teams along with an amateur playing partner of their choice. NBA XM Radio conducted interviews in the CASAMIGOS Lounge with stunning views of 18, chatting with Coach himself, Byron Scott and Julius Erving. Land Rover Las Vegas showcased a 2015 Range Rover for the hole-in-one, which ESPN anchor Jay Harris won last year from 198 yards. Large banners of Jonathan and Drew Scott were prominently displayed on course providing a fun "Closest to the Twins" contest. All in the day was an experience guests will never forget. COX Communications and Truvee Wines helped make the entire weekend an experience for the ladies as well by providing signature ladies experiences while the gentlemen were on course.
