According to statistics released by China's National Bureau of Statistics on April 15, the sales volume of Chinese home appliances totaled RMB 178.2 billion (US$28.7 billion; US$1 = 6.20 RMB) from January to March 2015, up 13.7% year-on-year. In March alone, sales volume of Chinese home appliances arrived at RMB 62.7 billion (US$10.1 billion), up 16.2% year-on-year. It is noteworthy that the statistics revealed China's merchants, including home appliances, sold online stood at RMB 631.7 billion (US$101.9 billion) from January to March 2015, up 41% year-on-year.
