Feast BedStuy's neighborhood food & beverage crawl continues to expand its reach with an event celebrating a bevy of new businesses along Malcolm X Boulevard. Participating venues include Casablanca Cocktail Lounge, Daddy Green's Pizza, Doc D's Southern Desserts, Khemistry Bar and L'Antagoniste Restaurant.

Brooklyn, NY (PRWEB) May 29, 2015

Feast BedStuy is kicking it into high gear with its latest foodie crawl set for Tuesday, June 2, 2015. This past April, the Central Brooklyn event drew nearly one hundred neighborhood residents to celebrate food and beverage businesses along Tompkins Avenue. Now, the party is moving to Malcolm X Boulevard, spanning ten blocks of good food and eats from Putnam Avenue down to Fulton Street.

Presented by Bridge Street Development Corporation, Feast BedStuy: Malcolm X Blvd. Edition will feature a guided tour of the neighborhood and off-menu specials from venues that will leave your mouth watering and tastebuds begging for more, without breaking your budget.

For $5, foodies can join the official tour and receive a "passport" for discounts and samples, along with the following deals:
• Red Stripe Shandys for $5 and Dark and Stormy and Gold Rush Cocktails for $8 at Casablanca
• $2 specialty slices at Daddy Green's Pizza
• Discounts on Doc D's cake slices
• 30% off food items with a drink purchase at Khemistry
• $35 three-course prix fixe meal with wine served up at L'Antagoniste

The crawl will begin at Daddy Green's, then flow to Khemistry Bar and L'Antagoniste. From there, the foodie stroll will hit Doc D's for southern sweets and culminate at Casablanca's.

The Malcolm X Boulevard crawl is the fourth in a series designed to highlight Central Brooklyn as a culinary destination via the district's small businesses, and to celebrate the lush spirit and unique characteristics of the historic neighborhood. More crawls will be scheduled through 2016 with Bridge Street focusing on the hospitality and commercial corridors through a grant renewal from the New York City Department of Small Business Services.

"At our last event on Tompkins Avenue, the block came alive with community residents eating, and shopping and enjoying the assets of our community, said Yvette Buckner, Bridge Street's Director of Community Engagement. "We are excited for this opportunity to bring that energy to Malcolm X Boulevard, while at the same time encouraging residents to shop locally more often and patronize these businesses again and again."

Bridge Street's Feast BedStuy: Malcolm X Blvd. Edition takes place Tuesday, June 2, 2015 from 6-10pm. Look for the official Feast BedStuy sticker on store windows to join the crawl or to enjoy Feast BedStuy at your own pace.
