About Straw
Ctesi Barros & Moreira, Sa, the creative company behind the awarded Sanitary Ware design Straw explained "The design of the Straw faucet basin mixer is inspired in the tubular forms of young and fun drinking straws that come with a refreshing drink in the summer or a hot drink in the winter. With this project we wanted to create an object of contemporary, dashing and fun design simultaneously. Assuming the basin as a container, the initial idea intended to emphasize the faucet as the contact element with the user, just like the drinking straws are the contact point with a drink." The Golden A' Design Award
The Golden A' Design Award is a prestigious award given to top 3% percentile designs that has accomplished an exemplary level of sublimity in design. The designs are judged by a panel of three different jury which is composed of Academic, Professional and Focus Group Members. The designs are evaluated with score normalization to remove any biases and are voted on aspects such as functionality, ergonomics, engineering, presentation, innovation, usability, fun details, technology, and any other specific points that could be considered, each of these points are further weighted for different jury groups. Laureates of the A' Sanitary Ware Design Awards are listed at World Design Rankings.
